absolutely agree w/ other commenters - the instructions that comes w/ the airfryer are terrible ... furthermore, the instructions on the website are exactly the same as what comes in the box, in downloadable pdf documents -- no where on the entire website can you find what each button does, expected behavior of each setting, or how the warmer is supposed to work (which I don't think the keep warm is even working in mine, i don't know, there are no instructions on that!!) for this reason, I don't recommend this air fryer to friends ...... too bad, it's nice enough but for the money and no instructions, nah, there's no way to justify the expense of this airfryer

I'd just bought one from Harvey Norman Cannington, Perth ,WA, at discounted price of $420/, plus 4 years ' Extended Warranty for $ 59/- Am anxiously awaiting to buy the Baking Tray when available !!! Previously had the XL Phillips Airfryer

I am on the edge about buying this. I only need the answer to one question. what is the highest temperature it can go? I thought I saw that only gets up to 200 Fahrenheit in another video. Is that correct? and if it is, why this model that is with higher watts is cooking at a less temperature? and how that affects the cooking?

Hey Carlos, thanks for your question! First of all, the temperature goes up to 200 degrees Celsius. Which is quite a difference from Fahrenheit (which would be about 392). The higher wattage of the machine could be explained by the larger volume it needs to heat. Besides that, the more watts, the fast the device is able to heat. We hope this answers your questions. Useless setup instructions. I'm a first time air fryer user, the tiny 1.5 cm picture-instructions in the box are stupid. I'm a bit annoyed actually.

@@Philips Hi Philips, I rang the Customer Service line, I could hardly understand the fellow in the Philippines who took the call, he kept referring me to a different model and didn't seem to understand my issue, I just wanted basic operating instructions for my model but he kept telling me how to operate buttons that are not on the D9742. I had to ask him to get the correct model info and check it was correct. He put me on hold to find the correct info and I waited on the phone for 30+ minutes and I ended up hanging up. This was the worst 'new product' experience, ever. Of course everything is easy when you know how but the flaky, yellowed paper with teeny tiny pictures is not acceptable as a 'new user training guide'. I got the thing to cook some food, and it was sensational (lamb with no grease molecules flying through the air and sticking to walls, cupboards and stinking the place out was a pipe dream till now), and it tasted great, good texture, good colour, perfect. But I am still not a confident operator of my new Airfryer. The written instructions are a 1/10.

Philips you need to get with the times and create a Philips channel with user instructions and basic cooking ideas. You make enough money off your customers so at least offer them some decent instructional videos!
