You are going to love it. In 1997 I wanted a USA Fender Strat really really bad. I had almost saved enough money. I went into my local guitar shop and tried one. It had sharp frets and played terrible. My guitar teacher told me Fender sucks now. Buy a G&L Legacy. I did! I ordered by catalog Musicians Friend. 27 years later it is still perfect and I have never played a strat better. Great choice Phil!

A Free Way 3B3-01 six-position blade switch would be a great addition to this, considering your support for four-way swtiches on Teles. I love the Jumbo MFDs, and I may have to get a Tribute Series Doheny for their successors.

I would live in a tent just to have the chance to one day get a job vacuuming the wood shavings, and hopefully working my way up. It looks like a cool place to be. I am from UK, a Phil subcriber, and have one of the first Legacy Tributes available here in UK, and it is the best guitar I have owned, in spite of trying and owning "premium" guitars.

Really excited to see G&L ramping up their public outreach/marketing. These guitar designs (ASAT and Comanche") represent the evolution of Leo Fender's vision to elevate his previous legendary designs (Strat and Tele) to their apex. I hope it pays off for them. G&L deserves to be a brand of guitars that players think of with the same reverence as Fender or Gibson.

I watch Philips videos. They are awesome! He seems to be a decent guy. I can say to all the people out there that Dave is a very down to earth, cool guy. I have had the pleasure to chat with him a couple of times at length( and I’m a nobody) once at the NAMM show, and once at the shop where we and the crew talked about my motorcycle(I came to the shop on it. It’s a yellow BMW R1200 G/S). Both times Dave spoke to me as if he knew me all my life. I own two USA ASATS. I used to be a Fender guy. Still like them, but, don’t own any any longer. I know John Page and he and Dave are very much the same kind of people. WAY COOL, WAY HUMBLE AND DOWN TO EARTH……

Must be nice to be Phil...He just dropped a video about how Heritage built an LP style guitar for him that is meant to compete with the Gibson Custom Shop. He commented that the frets were too low. They were like, "Cool! We'll build you another one. " Today this video pops up! WHOOO! I should have been an influencer. All sarcasm aside...I'm glad someone gets to have that kind of experience. More power to you Mr. McKnight. And if you get tired of any of these badass guitars...I'll be more that happy to give one or two of em' a good home.

one thing I certainly do not like about those necks is they cut the fret slot the same depth as the fingerboard, now its 23 different pieces? why? my ASAT is not like that, derp cuz is maple but why, lemme look if the maple is the same.. no its not but its 2/3rds on a very thin fingerboard why are they so thin what gives? less than a quarter inch thick? a strong eighth .. am I missing something is the fingerboard no longer a counterpart in stability on these ASAT's? on my maple there is still some but minimal, a mm left that's all 1 piece, but that one you just cut all teh way thru? or darn near ... not like it makes a fatt ratts fukk in a golden shower but whats the reasoning here? sides material loss, or savings whatever? one more question, does Leo know you're doing this? shoulda asked man, shoulda asked . . . man I hope it just looks like that and there is at least as much joined as the nut slot is deep right? all that sweet music you gonna lose, that sweet resonation and tonesake... and if you don't think the amount of wood matters you don't know women as well as you should . . .
