My late mother absolutely HATED Schofield with a passion. She used to work for the DVLA and in his Gordon the Gopher years, he happened to call up and got through to one of my mother's trainees at the time. He was VILE, made the girl cry and basically did a whole 'Do you know who I am?' to try and avoid getting points on his licence. My mother had to take over the call and said in all her years of working in DVLA (40 in total) he was the worst person she had ever spoken to, her dislike of him spread to me (I know that sounds ridiculous but when my mother said someone was horrible, she was always right).

This is very redolent of the Jimmy Savile "hiding in plain sight" scenarios where he would make odd little quips about wrongdoings that people seemingly failed to pick up on at the time they were made. If Matthew was 15 at that time and Phil was thinking of "still getting away with it" in 3 years' time then it seems likely that he and Phil were doing doing things around the time that segment was filmed. From a statement analysis perspective this fits perfectly with the level of action that so many important people / organisations (ITV / YMU agency / Holly) have taken. They have dropped him like a hot brick! There's certainly more to come, but Phil's words have already given him away.

There's something dodgy with that family. In the 80's they emigrated to NZ when I was a kid & Phillip got his 1st job on NZ TV here as a presenter for teens. My question was why move to NZ?
