As someone who uses anti-psychotic medication (I'm on quetiapine, which is similar to the drug Kerry mentioned in the interview), I wholeheartedly believe that Kerry was NOT drunk or under the influence of illegal substances during that interview. Anti-psychotics are sedatives and have a big effect on the central nervous system; they make you very sleepy and groggy, and absolutely can and often do cause side effects like slurred speech, especially in the mornings. The way it was handled was horrible. You're so right, they should have looked out for her far more than they did. People really should not judge what they don't understand.

Time for adults in the West to start familiarising themselves with the term 'personal accountability' instead of playing every system going then learning who to blame and spending their lives within this toxic matrix playing the victim whilst passing the buck'. A hop, step and a jump away from the Victimhood Olympics qualifiying round these sorts of people. Our society falls apart under the collective weight of all these immature, manipulative, self-absorbed, entitled adults who can't take 'no' for an answer and think someone will always take the blame for their appalling decisions time and time again. However, I also agree with what you wrote. It takes two to tango in such a situation. Same applies for Amy Winehouse's management allowing her to go on stage in Belgrade when she clearly was totally off her coconut. There is duty of care in these situations. It's complicated and there are many shades of grey to complete the full picture.

Please let Kerry know how much she is supported. It was brave and strong to share what she has and I commend her for her strength. My mother was being given similar medication to try that caused her to either slur like that or another causing her to speak through clenched teeth. It was heartbreaking to observe and I wish I had my mother today to be encouraged by Kerry's courage and hope. I want to also commend you Dan for your respect and care that you have given to Kerry and indeed to all your guests. Always a great pleasure to watch your program.

Schofields behaviour may have been abhorrent, but I truly believe the entire Executive team at ITV should be dealt with. Before she even got in front of the camera, I’m sure guests are met and spoken to by many well before they are live. They obviously saw an opportunity for viewing figures V’s an individual’s welfare! Whatever was being said in his ear from the gallery, I do not believe for a second it was anything other than “keep her talking, this is great tv for us and who cares about someone who shouldn’t have been there” Despite Schofield’s demise, again I’m sick of seeing ALL the other so called ‘celebs’ saying how disgusted they are etc with his behaviour. He brought what was then a child to the tv studios and he was around for yrs.. are you trying to tell me they didn’t know what was going on? If you know and you say nothing, you are complicit and therefore as accountable as the perpetrator! Funny how now this is in the public domain, they’ve all become so concerned… they are in my opinion as guilty!
