This is the MOST helpful video. Nothing on the Philips website mentions anything like this. I am waiting on my new rings now and when I turned them around, sure ENOUGH! They were ripped! Thank you so much for taking the time.

I am so thankful for this video. I love my Phillips Latte Go. We had noticed a leak in our machine but hadn’t worried too much because this started not long after we bought it in 2021 and it was only a little. Over time I noticed that it brewed less coffee and the cup was less filled plus it was leaking more. It wasn’t until this year when it would completely skip the coffee brew (because it was leaking out instead). I was doing continual cleaning with less result. Until my husband found your tips, ordered the parts and my machine is working like new. THANK YOU!!

YES! This helped big time. Machine (5 years old) began leaking so much, and amounts of coffee in my cup changed constantly. This thing was it. Ordered a complete new nozzle (with rings) at Amazon for €11, 2 little screws, problem fixed in 5 minutes. Saved myself a visit of Philips mechanic of at least €150. Thanks!

Perfect. I've had a leak for a little while now and didn't know why this was. It affected my coffee because the first ounce or two would leak until the water pressure was enough to help create a temporary liquid seal. I removed the brew unit per your video and saw the topmost ring had a good bit of wear. It was flattened out. I also saw the bottom "floor" of the area directly below it was wet, indicating the water would drip down then into the tray or directly out of the bottom of the unit. Thank you for your video. You're a gentleman and a scholar.

This is so helpful - my machine recently started producing weaker and weaker coffee, I was getting basically coffee slurry in the used grounds bit and I could hear unfamiliar hissing sounds throughout the process. Spent a couple of hours dismantling and cleaning but couldn't figure it out and was thinking about getting a new one entirely until I saw this - my o rings weren't ripped but they were very loose and the one in the brew group had coffee grounds behind and around it so they're obviously not sealing properly. Never would have occurred to me to change the o rings! Have ordered new ones, which turn up tomorrow, plus some lubricant (the existing ones were totally unlubed...) - you've probably just saved me £350!! Thanks so much!

Just a FYI, while they don't specifically tell you to lube those o-rings you are supposed to lube the inside of the gray part on the inner part of the brew group that fits over that nozzle. On the newer units it is a grey bell-shaped protrusion on the inner side of the brew group. Older units may have a black part, if you look at it you will see that it is the only part that would fit over that nozzle. When you grease the unit each month, make sure you put a coating on the inside of at housing. You can also lube the o-rings directly but make sure you do not clog the nozzle, and also, make sure that any grease you put inside the part is only on the surface. Don't leave globs of grease in there which could clog the nozzle or cause grease to shoot into your coffee.

I've had my machine a little over two years and am having similar symptoms. I tried lubricating the O-rings to no avail. Looks like I'll have to do surgery as I can't find a repair shop close by. The water does appear to come from the enclosure on the left side of the machine. I did notice that it doesn't leak when I ask for hot water so that rules out the pump and heater. My understanding is that there is a solenoid that directs hot water to the front or the coffee maker. Maybe the supply line has sprung a leak. Wish me luck!!

You are 100% right. you need to lubricate those O-rings. I owned a Saeco Talea Giro (Philips bought Saeco that's why the name Philips Saeco), I bought a Philips EP3200 series and I discovered the mechanical parts we can see on the Philips are exact the same as the Saeco. I had the Seco working for more than 10 years, I never had any problem of those O-rings breaking, I lubricated them always. You need to lubricate the big red O-ring in the brew necanism, if you do so it wil last long other way it will break (it happened to me once). This Philips is made more flimsy, I hope it last long; the Saeco was a tank.

Had the same problem. It started about 1.5 years after purchase but I'm not a heavy user. Amazon had me send the whole machine back just to replace the top o-ring. It was fast but very unecessary. The substitute o-ring was blue and not red like the original.

I just got the same machine, how long did it take to start the leakage? 1 or 2 month of use? ...It looks like both o-rings didn't get lubricated at all...thus I just opened mine (just got mine yesteday) , I can confirm both o-rings weren't lubricated from manufacturer, this could be one of the reason the o-rings would be easily ripped sides...I just lubricated them with the included lubricant. Unbelievable ,,,I thought Philips production managers should have found out and fixed the production issue rather still allowing this issue continue happening till now!

@@kellyakin7462 I've had it for 3 years and it just started leaking. I've ordered the o-rings based on the model and physical size I have measured when taken apart. I double-checked that with your serials here in the comments section and it matches. Hopefully, it will resolve the issue (in my case, the o-rings weren't lubricated, and the bigger one just started to crack). Thank you for the video, without it I would still be thinking of something in the brewing part or I would probably take the whole back panel off somehow and search for a problem there. It got so bad, that I wasn't getting any coffee whatsoever through the head, which made me think something might be jammed in one of the tubes, but I think this will be it. I'm glad you posted this! Greetings from Slovenia

Hello Sir, i have a 3200 Lattego unit and recently experienced water leak under the bottom. I wonder if you got the O rings from Philips customer service. I called 833-737-1212 and was told these O rings are internal parts and replacement by myself would forfeit the warranty. They don’t want to send me O Rings under warranty. They asked me to ship to the service station for repairs. Please let me know. Many thanks. - Paul

In mine and others who have commented experience, the rip was on the backside of the ring so not visible until removed for closer inspection. If you’ve already done that and still have water pooling , then I dont have a suggestion. Note that when ripped, in addition to water pooling it also failed to fill the cup to the “usual level”

This just might have solved my problem. Even if I emptied the tray after it did the startup rinse, it would sometimes contain upto half a cup of clear water after brewing a cup. So that water had nothing to do with the rinsing proces on start/stop of the machine.

They don't tell you to lubricate them because they are static. You only need to lube o-rings if they are moving parts. Static o-rings will just deteriorate if you lube them. Your o-ring was ripped and needed to be replaced. Lube is just going to deteriorate the new one faster.
@DL101ca
@DL101ca Ай бұрын
All those orings experience friction due to movement during the brew cycle. It is necessary to lubricate them or they will wear prematurely. You're not familiar with how this brew group operates if you think those orings are static or the parts they seal to do not move.

@@DL101ca Yes. I am very familiar. That's why the manual doesn't tell you to do it. That's why customer service doesn't tell you to do it. That's why O-ring specialists don't tell you to do it. You really think I bought an $800 machine and didn't investigate why they don't say to lube o-rings in the manual but for some reason people do on the internet? Because people are just plain wrong.
