When I married my husband I had 3 children, 5, 4, and 2 years. When my oldest daughter was 8 my husband adopted them. The biological father was not in the picture and did not contest the adoption. We had a son together and raised two grandchildren. We were married 37 years. And had God been willing, I would have liked to have been married 37 more. So, I love your story and pray you make 37 + years.

my mom married our daddy when I was 5. although we were never adopted he was our daddy. We always say any man can be a father but it takes a real man to be a daddy. Our step dad married our mom even though she had 5 kids already. He was the best thing that could of happened to us.

PHILLIPS FamBam I just subscribed, and I'm like binge watching old videos to catch up with my mom😂. But I was actually adopted myself, when I was 3 months old from Vietnam. And it's hard when you don't know your biological parents, but there's this camp called Culture Camp where families with kids adopted from Vietnam go and we all have that "adoption connection" and it's amazing.

I was 20 years old when I had my son. Single, alone, and trying to survive. Being a single parent is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. The biological dad has never been involved and has never even met my son. When my son was about 18 months old, I met and fell in love with my now husband. We were married and sealed in the SLC Temple June 10th of 2017. Now, being married for a year, we can officially start the adoption and finally be sealed together as a family!! It takes a really special man to take on a child that is not biologically his. I thank my husband every day for being the best father he did not have to be. Thank you for sharing your story!!

Kira Mayne it takes a REAL SPECIAL PERSON TO ADOPT A CHILD THATS NOT BIOLOGICALLY THEIRS BUT IT TAKES A REAL MAN TO BECOME A DAD CUZ A FATHER IS THE PERSON WHO RASIES YOU NOT A PERSON WHO WAS JUST THERE TO MAKE U HE THE FACE U SEE EVERYDAY THAT CARES FOR U WHEN UR SICK, THAT SUPPORTS EVERYTHING U DO, THAT U LOVE & VICE VERSA, & IS ALWAYS THERE WHEN U NEED HIM!! So CONGRATULATIONS to YOU BOTH ON THE ADOPTION IM SURE YOUR SON WILL B PROUD TO CALL HIM DAD!!

Thanks for sharing. I have realized that sometimes they don't allow it because it is the last thing they can hold on to as a parent. I can at least respect that fact that she sees him every weekend. That was not our case at all. I feel like the push for ours was that when their father would actually call, so much time had passed in between calls that it eventually caught up with him. He was missing too much and the kids were getting older. I think reality sunk in that he really didn't know them and that if he really wanted what was best for them he would allow it to happen. I feel like God softened his heart and we are so grateful for it. ---Danny

Oh I didn't know this. So nice you get along so well, I honestly thought you were their biological father. You seemed to get along so well with all the children. They are so lucky you two found each other, those kids will benefit for life that you get along so well with the older children. My brother married a woman with young kids and they love him so much, they sided with my brother who adopted them, when they divorced. Now the kids are in their 30's and visit and keep in touch and are friends with my brother more than their actual biological mother. My brother married again, and his adopted children from first marriage are closer to my brother than their biological mother! He is "Dad" and truly are close, he IS their father.

I was 17 when I had my first son. I worked my ass off and had some help and support with my parents but his biological father was never around. I met my husband when I was 20 and my son & him just fell in love the moment they met it was such a strong bond and still is. He doesn’t introduce him as his step son that is HIS son. We now have two more a two year old boy and one year old girl. We pray and talk about all the time of him adopting our oldest son Andrew. It’s something we talk about all the time. And I can’t wait for the day it will happen. I’m so hopeful it will. But I thank god every night for blessing my son with the father he deserves and to look up too. I thank him everyday for being an amazing father.

Listening to your story bring tears to my eyes, as I think of my son and my husband. My wonderful husband stepped up just like you and took on my 10 year old son. He loves him so much and he is the only father figure my son has had. My sons dad is very limited visits with him. I have always been the same way about being honest. Do to my health issues we never were able to have more children to add to our family. He never formally adopted him, as my son is an adult and everything, but he has plans to change his last name to his for a surprise in the near future. It takes a truly amazing man, to step into a dad roll. I always live by the saying. Anyone can be a father, but it takes a special kind soul to have the word step or adopted in front of that word.

I have just started following you guys and have fell in love. I would have never know those two were adopted. What an amazing story. Here is ours... We are in the process of adopting my great niece. I will give you the back story. It’s kind of long but I hope you read it 😊 So she went into the Foster care system in New Mexico when she was 9 months old. I didn’t know my niece had a baby because we lost touch with her when she left WI due to drugs and having warrants out for her arrest. So she stopped all communication with family. Once I found out Kyndall existed she was 13 months old. My husband our kids and myself knew without a doubt she needed to be ours. So we started the process. Because there was 2 states involved it made it much more difficult. My niece ( the birth mom) was in prison at this point but her rights had not been terminated. And because Kyndall had been in the system for so long we couldn’t get her under kinship. Had we been able to do that we would have had her sooner. WI then requires that potential parents become Liscensed Foster Care parents. So we began that process. Fast forward by the time all of it was said and done and both states agreed 12 months had past. So now she a little over 3 It then took another 2 months to get the transition and travel finalized. It took us 14 months to get her. We had never even met her in person until we basically insisted on them letting us see her before the transition. They agreed so we made the trip to NM and they allowed us to spend 10 days with her. It was all supposed to be supervised but when we met for the first time she took right to us and didn’t want us to be out of her sight. When they took her back that evening the current Foster parent informed the case worker the next morning that Kyndall barely slept and constantly asked for us. So from that day forward they let us have her all day with just returning her in the evening. She stole our hearts and we fell in Love day one. She was already calling us mommy and daddy which honestly blew every ones minds. But I know she just knew she was ours. Leaving her was the hardest thing we have had to do. We finally got her on June 14, 2017. It was the best anniversary present we could have asked for. Our anniversary was the day before on the 13th. We were still waiting for the parental rights to be terminated by NM which is not an easy process. But in August of 2017 I was able to talk to my niece while she was still in prison and asked her to relinquish her rights so we could move forward and know without a doubt that Kyndall would never be removed from us and to guarantee that this little girl grew up in a loving and safe environment. She didn’t give me an answer. But just 3 days after our conversation we got a call that she relinquished her rights. You can just imagine the excitement and tears that my whole family experienced. I forgot to mention that I have MS and with that I have many issues. One being a seizure disorder that is very erratic. So I had to get all my doctors to sign off that she would be Okay with us since I had written statements from many family and friends that would help me out. That was also a process but not as long as I thought it would take. We are now hoping that within the next two months the adoption will be finalized and she will be ours legally, because she is already our daughter. Our kids are already grown and I have 3 grandchildren from my son and daughter n law. They are 30. My daughter and son in law are 24 and actually moved in with us to make sure I had help 24/7. The lower part of our house was turned into a one bedroom apartment for them. My daughter is a nurse so I have comfort in regards to my health knowing she is so close. So we are starting all over as mommy and daddy but we wouldn’t have it in other way. We love our little girl so much that words doesn’t do it justice. We know we have a lot of challenges with her because she was born addicted to many drugs and was in the hospital from birth until 3 months for detox. This broke our hearts when we heard this but it didn’t detour us from fighting for her. She has an emotional behavioral disorder as well as others. We know there are always a chance that other things can arise at anytime because of being born addicted but we are confident we can get her through it especially with all the support and resources we already have been using. So this is our story. 😊 On a different note- Go Packers!! We are totally Packer Backers and have had the pleasure of going to many games and meeting many team members 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼. So cool that you guys are Packer fans too!! Gooooo Pack!! 💚💛💚💛

I loved listening to it and I shared it with my Dad, because it's so similar to our own. When he met my mother, he took my older brother and I in, always treated us as his own. I took his last name because my birth father was out of the picture and as far as I knew my whole life, he was my real dad, however, he wasn't able to adopt me and at 22, it doesn't seem necessary. I am so so happy for all of you that you were able to do so, I love your family and your videos, thank you for sharing this.

totally got emotional watching but in a good way. my boys were 3 and 8 months old when we met and he quickly became Daddy. My second sons first word was Dada. As they grew up they started asking why they had a different last name as the man who has always been here and call dad. When my husband wanted to adopt them we had to ask their Bio dad to relinquish his rights. Even though he has never been around. When we asked him he seriously laughed at us and said 'Why would I do anything to make you happy?'

I honestly had no idea that They weren’t biologically Dani’s children because the way acts around all the kids is that there’s no difference in the amount of love and compassion for any of the kids that Dani provides all I noticed is that Dani’s a wonderful father. Lot of love for you guys x❤️

This is the second time that I’ve seen this video. All I can say is that, Danny, you are a good man!!! Just the fact that Braden kept asking his biological father if you could adopt him meant that he always saw you as his real father. God bless your lovely family!

I just found your channel and stumbled on this video. What a special story!! Thank you for sharing it. Adoption holds a special place in our hearts too. We adopted three children from Ethiopia, two separate times. It is life changing and a wonderful yet challenging experience! (Our oldest child is biological). They are gifts from God! I'm so glad everything worked out so you have comfort in your heart about their future, Tina! You seem like such Wonderful people! Definitely gained a subscriber! Keep up the good work! ~C

I love this story. I was adopted when I was a baby and have since met my biological family. I'm thankful that I had a biological mother that loved me so much that she knew it was in my best interest to give me up. I'm lucky to have been adopted by a wonderful family that loves me so much. I was always told that being adopted means you're special. It means you were chosen!

I have been watching older videos since I am off work today. And I so cried because I have seen all the recent videos and you would never know that they were adopted. You are such a great man Danny for stepping in there. I believe all children should have a great father in there life all though I know there is many out there who don't have that I didn't growing up. Prayers to you and your family.

I completely understand your story. My daughter was 9 when I met my husband Robert he was our savior and is a wonderful father to her. She's now 21 he didn't adopt her but he is her father through and through.
