HI Phil I too am and 'Older lady) 71 tomorrow in fact. Yours was by far the most clear of the tutorials, as you actually take the time to show the individual pieces being put in place AND you don't loud music, assuming people know what to do - just by looking at the pictures. I did find that the back panel top outer screws would not go in - will have to wait for my son to come over to use his larger drill/driver I think. Thank you!

Hi Phill, had one of these sheds for three years now following separation and moving ! its amazing how much you can get in one, i had, lawn mower, pressure washer, strimmer, telescopic ladder, bistro table and chairs, etc. in the wettest and sunniest spot in the garden. never a drop of water got in...............so, i recently put up ketter factor 8"x11" shed (£850 for 4" in concrete base) but no regrets. spent extra £70 on roof verges, angle bead and CT1 sealant, screwed and glued for peace of mind living close to the sussex downs. and got another ketter baby shed to match the other one and keep big shed a bit clearer for my bike. (next chapter !) thanks for post, putting up toms.

Hi Dave I agree you can get quite a bit in these and I've never experienced any leaking either. I put a shelf in mine which makes the space more useful. Thanks for the video. At 3:30, when you screw the back panel in, I am having the problem that there are no guide holes in the back panel. Sry, I’m a bit of a muppet at diy.

Thanks for the video, took me about 4hrs constructing the storage shed as unfortunately my mini cordless drill from B&M was not up to the job so had to input the screws manually so now have a nasty blister on the palm of my hand, the screws were a lot harder in some places to get tightened, especially the bottom bolt in the door which required three screws, noticed you seemed to have difficulty with the drill also but overall I am very pleased with the result and it does look good just hope it is water-proof. The instructions that came with the product were rubbish so I was running back and forth into the house to watch each step by you. Have three screws over so hope I didn't miss anything and they are just surplus.
@PhillWyattProjects3 ай бұрын
Yea i ended up with a few spares at the end I think they give a few extra fixings. Mine is still doing good nice and watertight I haven't had any problems with it yet. One tip.....remember to pull up the lever lock at the bottom of the door before you pull the doors open. It could be easy to break the doors that way. I have forgotten myself a few times.
@andrewmcelroy95073 ай бұрын
@@PhillWyattProjects I was watching you constructing the Keter 6x4 shed and wondering what drill you would recommend, looked like it was a Bosch you had. I was using a Black & Decker cordless drill and the B&M mini cordless drill and both were useless so have decided to get a proper drill that will input screws, I have my dads drill which is over 30 years old so have decided to purchase a proper cordless drill but so many on the market its hard to choose.

The metal bar on mine was too long and meant the rear wouldn't fit flush to the sides. I've since found out this is an issue many have found. I filed down one end and drilled a new hole, it then fitted perfectly. Not good they've knowingly got a product with a defect and haven't recalled them or offer customers a free replacement bar of the correct length.

Lid has broken due to a mishap, new lid delivered but do i need new screws or can I take the old lid off and use all the bits attaching it to the box
@PhillWyattProjects3 жыл бұрын
As long as the screws are undamaged then they should be fine in my opinion. Check that the lifters are not bent.

Hi Phill do you do a demonstrayion on how to dismantle the shed safely Regards Tony
@PhillWyattProjects3 жыл бұрын
Sory Tony so far I haven't needed to dismantle it. When I do at some point I could do a vid but it won't be in the near future I'm afraid 👍

Hi Phil - built mine straight after watching your video, and on the whole it was pretty straightforward - only issue I had was fitting the metal brace bar to the top of the back wall and am wondering if I’ve made an error or had a faulty part. Having done my research before buying this shed it seems a lot of people have had the same issue, so I’m clearly not alone. When the bar is put in place and having aligned the holes in the top left corner and screwed it in, I found that the bar over hung the top right corner of the back wall so that when the bar hole is lined up with the hole in the back of the right wall it pushes the right wall out ie it won’t align properly / stay flush. Only solution was to cut c.5mm off the bar and drill a new hole in the bar. Not a major issue but odd that holes won’t align otherwise? Any thoughts as it seems you didn’t have this issue?

Hi Pete, I don't remember having this problem. I remember it being a bit fiddly to line up but it worked out fine. Sorry I can't give my thoughts.

Will a bike fit in? I'm guessing probably only by removing a wheel
@PhillWyattProjects2 жыл бұрын
I don't think a man's bike quite fits even a 26" wheel. If you take a wheel off yea it will fit.

I have a problem with assembling this unit, the WLBM metal bar is noticeable pushing one of the sides. It measures 137cm, the outer rear panel including the side panels, is approximately 137.4cm. Which allows you to fit the bar allowing 2mm x 2 for the side panels (skin thickness). My problem is the side panels have ribbing to reinforce the wall strength. The measurements check out but they do not allow for the depth of the reinforcement ribbing. Add the size of both sides ribbing, it pushes one side panel outwards. I have revisited B&Q and the one on display has the same problem. I can supply pictures. To my dismay you assembled your unit, and as far as I can see your side panels are fitted flush with the back panel, whereas one side of mine doesn't line up. Would you have any idea what is wrong.
