As a female listener, I especially love when the wives are on the podcast. Jill is a delight. I appreciate her writing a book in which she honest about her personal struggles. As someone with really bad anxiety I can relate to the things she talked about. My personal insecurities can affect my marriage and it is something I am currently working on. I also would really love to see Jase and Hank Williams Jr metal detect together. I am lifelong Hank fan so that duo would be really great to see.

I'm blown over with the honesty in this. Being honest with ourselves, with God and with the ones who love us is so hard but it also opens up a chance for accountability.. Which has to be handled in love. Excellent and Lord help this book clean thru a lot of hearts! Even mine!!

I know and respect Phil’s traditional ways, and I stay home to school and raise the kids, and clean etc. my husband works more than full time and is also a firefighter. But I do find it interesting how Phil was giving Jase such a hard time over laundry, but he and Jay Stone and Willie are the cooks of their households often or full time! Laundry is a chore same as cooking. Phil cooks because he’s got to eat and wants to eat good. Jay and Willie cook because of the same but their wives don’t cook like Miss Kay does. Got to eat but you got to have clean clothes too. Also, I can’t wait to read Jill’s book because it sounds like me. Or the former me. I’m working on it.

Phil turned the screws on Jason’s Missy today publicly.
@Thankful3053 жыл бұрын
Yeah, pretty obvious his feelings about her. If my FiL did that ~ I would be very hurt. I feel bad for Missy! Unfortunately .... I've noticed over the last few years of listening to these men; his cynicism toward women in general. Only by observational listening to understand, I've concluded .... If they are feminine, assertive (speak up/ask questions/clarify and articulate), smart and well dressed, his misogynistic mindset flares up. At first, I overlooked it. But for the last year of listening to these podcasts, it's blatant ---- Phil prefers, masculine, quiet, scruffy and obedient females. Thank GOD, Al did NOT inherit that trait!! I appreciate his kind, shepherd mindset.

This is hilarious...lmao....an episode over folding , doing laundry and talking about falling in love over laundry....I agree, women have a lot of stuff to deal with as far as what we look like and how we are supposed to act and what our roles are. Have been constantly fighting with "roles" and i dont do it anymore. I am who I am. Take it or leave it.

Hello everyone! I was wondering if the kind people in the comment section would be willing to help with something that I've been struggling to figure out! My question is how often should we be taking communion? I've heard all different kinds of answers from once a year, to quarterly, to weekly. I know in scripture it doesn't specify how often to take communion but I'm asking out of what is the best practice?

My husband washes his clothes. In his job he has to wear fire retardant clothes. Has big ugly 4x4" permanent stickers on front tail of shirts with washing instructions. It emphasizes not to use bleach because it removes retardant. Everytime I washed he'd asked if I used bleach on his clothes. I'd answer no. One day after about 5 years of this I answered "yes, I put a cup in every load because I want to see you go up in smoke." After that he took over washing his clothes. He doesn't fold or hang like I used to. He grabs each shirt by the tag in collar and lets them hang then stacks them. Gets pants by back belt loop and does the same. He also cooks sometimes and does dishes Saturday and Sunday mornings. It's fair. I help with work around the farm. It's been working for us for 25 years.
