Phil Robertson Is Cut Deep by Thomas Jefferson, Schooling Don Lemon & Why Bad Things Happen | Ep 122

Phil Robertson

Күн бұрын

Phil, Jase, and Al tackle amateur theologian Don Lemon's ignorance about Jesus and begin a discussion of why God allows bad things to happen to people. But first, Jase talks about the death of Missy's grandmother and why believers can find solace when a loved one dies. Al and Phil talk about Phyllis' inspiring blog. Jase has a bone to pick with how some people interpret the end of "The Outlaw Josey Wales," and he expresses his annoyance with mask manufacturers. And Phil is devastated by one of Thomas Jefferson's failures.

Hey guys, my realization after my mother basically starved to dead in front of us do to her cancer, which took about 3 and a half weeks of unmentionable suffering, our Lord Jesus answered our prayers and healed her. At the time of her death here on earth, our Lord made her perfect and healed her completely, without flaw for eternity. Love you guys.

My Mom died of cancer in her 80s. When she came home from the doctor with the diagnosis, she called her friend and said "I am going home" her friend asked well where are you now. She responded, "No I am really going home". 10 weeks later she stepped off this world and arrived in heaven.

Robin. Praise God! My pop was in the hospital in 95 when he went home to Jesus. I'm thankful my family was there to tell him we loved him and how great a daddy he was. I spent the night with him and remember after helping him sit up and shave that he smiled and said: son I'm going home tomorrow. I didn't know at the time that he meant his eternal home. I'm crying as I type this. He loved his Jesus and was unashamed!

Robertsons.....thank you for this ministry. This sinful world we have today has really gotten to me during the last few months. I've had to turn off for the most part social media and the news because of the anxiety it causes me. Your podcast has helped me through this. I have tried to focus more on Jesus. Missing church greatly. FYI...we too have found a sister of my husband's that we never knew about. My Amish father-in-law finally told us about her before he died. “ if you get Jesus right, everything else falls in line....” I’ll say “ Amen “ to that. When we find ourselves walking in love, synchronicity happens in our life and we experience what we are told; to paraphrase, “ all things work for the good of those who love God” We have to get past the first mind and the baby food, though.

After two years of marriage we felt was time for us to have an newborn of our own. We did and a boy who had a heart defect and only a had 10% at six months old to live. His surgery was one that had never been before and it took place at the University of San Francisco hospital and was a success. They referred to him as being the miracle baby all the time he was. And he was and just two weeks later another newborn had exactly the same condition as our son. They now knew how to deal with and it was also success. I was a born again Christian but I don't now recall being fearful of his death should he not survive. The most difficult was not having any money to survive as we were there for two weeks at the time. But we did and God not only gave him life he also took care of our own needs.

What is the difference in believing in GOD and believing in Jesus. I just listened to phil talk about being an atheist. I saw a lot of similarities between phil and my own journey. I was an atheist. And now I KNOW there is a god. How do I believe in jesus.

It is so wierd that we were given to be lords over our own domain, where there is overlapping interest and the confusion of error in spirit projecting error upon another that they take upon "the spirit of error," in error, (the way of the sword) when in truth we are all subjects of error redeemed of the truth of the Spirit of God in Jesus. To be in error of spirit is to go the way of the spirit of death- in error, using the spirit in ways of error, manifesting, unrest, death, and destruction, such as the way of abortion, even bondage and unrest of war in error. We aspire to know the truth of the spirit that animates us in material truth, to be spared the error of ignorance.

This is the most recent video hence why this comment is going here, but I’ve got things to ask. Months ago as in mid to late February sometime then was the last time I read my Bible(just read the comment before you judge). I’ve been through, seen, and done some rough things, and had a physical thing where I’d sweat excessively did not help. Around September-otcoberish of 2019 I blew the dust off the Bible and started reading some every night and would talk to god asking for help and telling him he doesn’t have to help cause I can’t repay him, and my life cleaned up a little bit, not perfect but way better, and more importantly to the present day to day life the sweat thing was almost lifted if you would. Fast forward to February and some time around then was the last day of that. Sometime recent I almost picked it up, but it turned into I’ll start tomorrow kinda thing. My life hasn’t regressed to how it was before I got into learning the bible(using the word learn vaguely), but it’s not as good as it was. I just want to know how I stay consistent with the father above, obviously this is his plan as he’s not punished me for my lack of reading his word and talking to him, but I just want to consistently get into to it like I was, and maybe even read through it before 2021(very slow reader only got around 1/3 through the Old Testament in October through February). I’m sorry to beg, but I’m a junior I’m high school that just want to make things right with the one above and try and learn about his story. How do I permanently get in the habit of reading that bible, and get something out of it. Again sorry about this comment but these men in the video have remind me of how I’ve neglected our lord.

Brother I praise God for your vulnerability and desire to know Him! I hope this response finds you well. Living a life with Christ begins with surrendering your life to Him, confessing your sins earnestly (1 John 1:9), having faith that Jesus is the one and only savior (Romans 10:9-13) and deciding to daily begin rejecting the old way we used to live in sin and seek to walk each step with the Holy Spirit closer and closer to him each day (Luke 9:23 and Galatians 5:16). The 4 areas we strive to work on each day as Christians is 1. Knowing God through his word. 2 Devoting ourselves to God in prayer. 3. Living in fellowship with other believers. 4. Teaching others what God has taught you. For the first one shoot for spending 30minutes reading and praying through God’s word in the morning. Pray that God would show you who he is through it. I would start with John. For the second, talk with God throughout the day and ask him to guide you in the Holy Spirit. A relationship with God is similar to a good marriage in that we have to devote ourselves in serving the other and getting to know the other. For the third point, find someone who loves Jesus and is mature in their faith and ask them to show you how to walk with God daily. (A good church is a great place to find those people) also find a group of people who are striving after following God and spend time weekly with them in fellowship. The fourth bullet, begin telling other people regularly about your testimony and what God is teaching you. Remember in all things that God desires to be in a strong relationship with you and He will always respond to your faithfulness. Do not stop pursuing Him, He is Worth it completely. Some day this short life will all be over and the only thing that will be of any value that we did in this life is what we did for Jesus in loving Him and loving others through him. Start with reading in John, pray regularly, find someone to teach you more about Jesus, surrender to God daily, depend on God, and teach others to do the same. I guarantee you, Jesus is worth everything. God bless you and may God richly reward your faithfulness to Him!!!🙌🏽🙌🏽

Sam Macklin thank you for the reply, it’s honestly something else, I can also do after a few months of neglect the dust has been wiped off the cover. In the past the goal was to read the Bible cover to cover and have god help me going in a better direction, but I happen to have 2 bookmarks. So I will pick up where I left off, and like I sorta did earlier just investigate a interesting passage. I’ve got a buddy who’s real god with the father above, so if I can get a couple more into interest, I may ask him to lead a little bible study, once a week or however often. My cousins friend group did that as one of them graduated some kind of bible school thing and is a preacher so I guess he leads it, and although my cousin hasn’t necessarily seemed different he started spreading some decent messages, didn’t expect to rant this much, but I also didn’t expect such a good reply, any how I’m gonna start reading those verses you had written and my continue the cover to cover journey tonight, but thanks for the reply you’ve done sparked something

Sam Macklin I read every verse that you wrote in the order, and it’s just truly amazing. If you take the time and look at the literal meaning of what’s being said it’s beautiful. Also the order that you had them in is just as beautiful, they are all tied together, but each one is a progressive step towards heaven. It’s truly remarkable. I have found a love for the chapter of Philippians 4(the whole chapter not the common verse), and a new spark of interest in the Bible, hopefully for the rest of my life this time

What is your take on the Freemasonry? Looking into it, several of our President's have been involved including Washington and Jefferson as well as more recent President's. Would like to hear your thoughts on this subject. It's pretty controversial. Thanks for what you do!
