Love your Photoshop videos, it'd be great if you could also do After Effects! One of the things I like about your videos is that you teach general concepts, not just specific steps.

This is great, plz make this a series and share more easy and quick animation methods and tricks for portraits to use them as live wallpaper on desktop or mobile. Some examples can be light streaks, fog, neon lights and etc.

In addition to moving the camera along the z-axis, it can also be moved slightly horizontally at the same time, resulting in a stunning effect. Thank you for this excellent content.

This is great! I think there's some easy value-adds: depth of field especially the fish close to the camera, underwater/lens distortion, 3D fog, and vignette. Lighting so the stingray casts a shadow. Some other ideas: Underwater light has caustics and god rays (which you can fake with fractal noise and radial blurs). Animating the little fish and bubbles wouldn't be that bad with particle effects. And you could give the water some substance as you move through it with some subtle grime and bubbles.

This is fantastic Aaron. Thanks for sharing. I was using the Capcut 3D zoom for it. which was a lot faster to create this effect, But, downside was that I wasn't have control over everything manually like in After Effect. It was just simply generated. But, this tutorial helped. Thanks again, for sharing, Aaron.

Awesome video. When you get the hang of Ae, think about using CC libraries for assets because it will link your assets between tools as well as use some transparent videos with alpha for bubbles and fishes. One more thing I would add is a shipwreck in the far background to really give this scene mystery. :)

Thanks for watching! and yes! you can certainly export as animated GIF. Just remember that GIFs tend to have very big file size, so depending on where you want to use them (a website for example) an mp4 format might be more suitable

Hi Aaron, I have a question for you. 8 years ago to posted a video called: How to Create a Stylized Portrait Made From Newspapers. I loved the technique and I've used it a lot! With the newest PS, you can't use the magic wand in groups, so I'm really frustrated. I can't use that technique anymore. I would really appreciate if you could post the same technique, you used in the portrait made from newspapers with the newest PS. I LOVE your Photoshop videos!

Nice tutorial. Why didn't you just convert the layers to smart objects and just open the file in After Effects and set the size to composition?
@phlearn

Smart Objects are a powerful tool, but they have some limitations in After Effects. That's why we prefer this method.😄

Hi Aaron, Which color profile should I use for M1 MacBook Pro ...should I be using default profile Colour LCD or change it to Adobe RGB or SRGB? pls help!
@phlearn
@phlearn 11 ай бұрын
Hey there! The best color profile to use on your M1 MacBook Pro depends on your needs and preferences.🙂 Color LCD: This is the default profile and is a good choice for general use. It covers the sRGB color gamut, which is the most common color gamut used on the web and in digital devices. Adobe RGB: This profile covers a wider color gamut than sRGB, making it a good choice for photographers, graphic designers, and other professionals who need to work with a wider range of colors. However, it can make colors look less saturated on devices that only support sRGB. Display P3: This profile is a newer color gamut that is wider than sRGB and Adobe RGB. It is a good choice for watching HDR content or for working with high-dynamic-range images. If you are not sure which color profile to use, we recommend starting with the default profile, Color LCD. You can always change it later if you need to!

Sorry if I missed this but what is the advantage of exporting the individual layers versus importing the PSD in AE? Currently, I just import the PSD and then manipulate the layers in AE
@phlearn
@phlearn Жыл бұрын
Hi Keith! That's a good question. There are a few advantages to exporting individual layers from Photoshop and importing them into After Effects as separate layers. For once you get more flexibility:.When you import a PSD as a single layer, you lose the ability to edit the individual layers in Photoshop. If you need to make changes to a layer, you have to go back into Photoshop and make the changes, then re-import the PSD into After Effects. If you export the individual layers from Photoshop, you can keep them editable in Photoshop and import them into After Effects as separate layers. This gives you more flexibility to make changes to your animation as you're working on it. Another reason is better performance.When you import a PSD as a single layer, After Effects has to render the entire layer every time you make a change to it. This can slow down your animation. If you export the individual layers from Photoshop, After Effects only has to render the layers that you're currently working on. This can improve the performance of your animation. I hope that answers your question🤗
@MihajloVEnnovation
@MihajloVEnnovation 11 ай бұрын
@@phlearn But you don't lose the editability? When I import the PSD as a composition with separated layers in AE, and I edit a layer in Photoshop, I hit save and the edits are automatically applied in AE. No reimporting needed. You can even keep the layer styles editable in AE. I haven't noticed a drop in the performance either.
