CLIA, not CLEA. That is false about Red tubes. GLASS red tubes do not have additive. PLASTIC RED has Clot activator. Tiger top is an SST, a Serum Separator Tube, because it has the gel barrier in it. Red top tubes do not have gel barriers therefore are NOT SSTs. Too small a needle for too large a vein or tube causes the RED CELLS to break, causing Hemolysis. The stronger suctions pulls the vein tissue into the needle tip, which either tears it causing a blow, or completely occludes the needle and stops blood flow. Your needle may be too high in the vein, or turned towards the side and sitting to close to the side of the vein. Not enough blood back up in the vein vs how much you need to draw. The vacuum in the tube isn't going to start out strong and then sudden "go out." If the vacuum is an issue, it will be so from the start of the draw, or will not fill the tubes fully.

I think if you actually were listening carefully of what I said, I stated that red top tubes typically don’t have additives and to read the side of the label. And I mentioned what the SST tube was. Not sure what your point is, but if you don’t like the information then don’t watch. Nothing in there was false. You obviously were not listening.
