On your comment about the Finnish tech tree, i heard on a stream that this is just the first wave of vehicles, cause these are the easiest to implement since their models already exist, and then the next phase will be Unique Finnish vehicles. Also this also helps fill the BR gaps the Swedes had.

Sweden tech tree is the single best tech tree in War Thunder now. You have the absolute classics (T-34, Pz. IV), the wacky Swedish designs, unique copycats like BT-42, A lot of derp guns like the 150mm recoilless rifle and the Bkan 1C, amazing Bofors 40mm platforms, the freaking ZSU-57-2, 100mm pen APDS at reserve, a few good APHEs, in general really good and diverse set of vehicles.

5:45 I'm not an explosive expert or anything but... Think it as stone skimming on water. If you think about it, basic physics, because of the shell momentum and the angle, if you shoot pass the vehicle, shrapnel will mostly follow the trajectory of the main shell and fly in similar path, and if you shoot before the vehicle, same thing, shrapnel will continue the trajectory angle and will hit.

It makes sense that Sweden wouldn't have a Sherman, they were neutral throughout the entirety of WW2 so wouldn't be getting lend-lease vehicles and such, and the Finnish were aligned with Germany out of necessity (it was that or get eaten by the USSR) and so pretty much only fought the USSR, so any Shermans they got would've been captured from the soviets (which could potentially have happened but the soviets were mostly using their T-34s).

Sweden actually got some shermans from the US after ww2 that we used for trials, one was even used as a testbed when developing the strv103; it was never considered for service though. We actually also got a Tiger 2 but (and this hurts to say) we just looked at how it was built and then we left it to rust and lastly we used it for target practice. So Gajin, uuuh give us a late war Sherman and a Tiger 2? Also obviously the cv9030 and cv9035 (Finland, Norway, Denmark).

I got an idea of what War Thunder (Gaijin) can do with Sweden. Add Norway's tech tree. "The current active Main Battle Tank is 2A4NO. However planning to get new 2A7 or K2 Black Panther soon, testing is currently underway Our active Infantry Fighting Vehicle is a version of the CV-90, named CV9030N". Then instead of naming Sweden, then name the faction "Scandinavia" (Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark is part of Scandinavia). Would be cool tbh, have Sweden, Finland, and Norway in one faction, maybe a bit OP for 1 faction. But would be cool tbh. Just an idea i thought of xddd

The combo means in any terrain you can get to a sneaky spot, and scout phor tons of SP! They tested them and other tanks post war. Which was one of the most unbiased tests showing how shit the shermans offroad performance was. And how amazing the panthers was. But being neutral they never got any shermans shipped to them. And finland, more due to russia being cunts and attacking them, was on the axis reciving various german tanks and support from germany. So obviously they didnt get a sherman.

sweden didnt import tanks at scale until buying centurions from the british over a decade after ww2 and finland primarily used swedish combat vehicles or captured soviet ones, ofc the swedish/finnish tech tree wont have shermans. after using the centurions (designated strv 81, strv 101, strv 102 and strv 104 depending on config of centurion) for a while, they decided to have a go at making their own tank design again (result: strv 103 aka s-tank), then replaced all centurions and s-tanks with leopard 2s in the 2000s. only shermans i know sweden had was a very limited amount for testing purposes in case of possible procurement of them during the war

4:42 use HEAT instead of HE. It works the same as HE, and can pen harder targets. HE only has 2kg TNT equivalency, whereas the heat has 2.55kg TNT equivalency.
