The crouched height increase might actually be a reference Wind charges in a sense pay homage to tf2’s rocket jumping, it wouldn’t surprise me if this crouch-tap behavior was a reference to what’s know as c-tapping in tf2 where if you sync a crouch jump with just the exact perfect timing you get like 10% extra momentum/height (you understand the movement vectors)
