The way Phoebe sings and plays guitar never ceases to amaze me how she can take a classic rock tune, and transform it into something much darker, and more deep with minimal effort. Hearing this song for the first time I would have thought it was an original with her level of distinctiveness, and passion.

This isn't my favorite Springsteen song, but it definitely does a lot, especially stripped down like this. I think New York City Serenade might by my favorite, but there's something about listening to it walking up Broadway at midnight that really does connect.
