Loved -- and still do love -- her Poetry Man Album. She's definitely an underrated talent -- DEFINITELY.

I’ve been looking for this forever. I remember watching this on Letterman. There is no one, no one who has ever lived or who will ever live with a greater voice than Phoebe Snow. I loved Phoebe’s music and I loved her. And I always will.

The first time I saw this was in 1988 so this must have been an old video tape.

Nobody nor should they be interested in racial BS. Just play the fn music.

@@rvz77 I'm interested, she looks like she has black ancestors for sure

At least learn it to spell. She said she was Jewish and did not know anything else about her background. She was going to get her DNA done, but I don't think she got finished before she died. She said as far as she knew she had no black ancestors, and if people wanted to claim her she was happy to belong

Jewish, Black, Sicilian, Arab, Spanish/Moorish, etc… it’s all from the motherland from which we all spring so, what the heck ever.

@@jamescricketson9464 Was thinking the same thing too when I first saw her (was on a DVD special with David Bromberg). I swear she could easily pass for one of my aunts on my mother's side of the family, which is DEEPLY mixed (black, white, and red) and has been for several generations now. Shame Phoebe never got to finish her DNA test (RIP), I read that she was quite excited about it and was looking forward to the findings...
