“Crashing” was an impulse, insomnia driven viewing choice I made one night which of course left me needing more of Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s work. “Fleabag” was next, and equally but differently amazing. The scene when she and Claire are driving to the retreat is one of my favorites because I realized that somehow I’m able to be both characters, at times simultaneously. And the way those emotions were captured in those moments was brilliantly done. Thank you, Phoebe. Also, great interview. Questions worth asking and answering. Thank you!

I first encountered Phoebe on Graham Norton, but hadn't seen any of her shows at that point. My first reaction was "Who the heck is this over-hyped woman with the exaggerated bubbly demeanor? I'm sure she's done nothing to warrant all this applause." How wrong was I?

Honestly, if I found out she would be the next Doctor I'd be cool with it! I warmed up to the idea of a female Doctor when Clara impersonated the Doctor for an episode and she did fantastic. Male or female, as long as they get the right actor for the role who can properly play the Doctor, I'll be happy. :)

Critique and Tell Judging by who ACTUALLY became the next Doctor, this theory does lose a bit of merit. However, maybe she had auditioned for the role, but didn’t get the part.
