Did the same thing with a Paa brush boiled it tried to pull the knot out and pulled the back of the handle off. PAA uses some great glue.

I'm always surprised when you shave with a very mild razor. But the Henson+ does the job. And that PAA Aerolite Amber brush is my softest synthetic. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. You'll have to be on your best behavior now that the boss has returned.

Briar is the perfect flanker to Cavendish. Years ago at a meetup where Douglass was in attendance, if my memory is correct, he said Briar is Fran's creation.

Love Briar! I do the same with Star Jelly and Splash SJ after the shave (or Mysterium Serum), then later splash and maybe EDP. Totally love the Amber Aerolite brush, probably my most used brush. Love the handle most of any!

Ive got to get a few of these pipe tobacco scented soaps out there. Its a favorite of mine. And ive smoked fat bottom betty before. A wonderful cigar, wow. We have a nice cigar lounge in town. Hi John, great shave. I actually stumbled upon an after-shave a year ago from a French company called Le Père Lucien and the after shave is called “oud-santal” which is an oud/sandalwood mixture and this is actually one of my favourite scents. My shave of the day was with the Moon Amaretto shaving soap and after shave, absolutely wonderful! Have a great weekend!

Nice shave John! The Amber Aerolite is one I want but never pulled the trigger on, I really luke the handle. I have a aftershave sample of Briar somewhere, I'll have to find it and give it a whiff 😄👍 SOTD: Stirling Sandpiper soap, splash, and balm, the RazoRock 400 aluminum handle Noir Plissoft knot, and the Yaqi Romulus Open Comb with a Kai Pink Captain Titan Mild blade. I like tobacco scents, and I had two oud sets I like - so I picked up a Tobacco Oud set from HSSC. Ugh - way too perfumy for me, and I didn't think the two scents combined particularly well. It's a popular set though, so other noses like it.

John discovers niche frageances... 😅 As you like "inspired by" fragrances, a good option in the UK is Perfume-Parlour. You can get different oil concentrations (the difference between EdT, EdP and Extrait (that is also called Parfum). And they are reasonable priced to get a sample. And if you are into Oud now, you might have a look into Xerjoff, they have a whole Oud Stars collection, most famous is their Alexandria II. I myself like from that series Ceylon, it's Oud and Ceylon Tea.

And in case you want dive deeper into quality stuff, GenericPerfumes from Kuwait has even higher quality "inspired by", and have even more rare niche fragrances (eg. Roja Perfumes, who does a lot with Oud, too, his Amber Aoud or others are legendary - or Boadicea the Victorious, who has also a lot of Oud-centered fragrances). The special there: they have also Attar, that is pure fragrance oil. No alcohol to spray, just oil to dab on, it's the most powerful to wear. They do international shipping, and almost monthly the have offerings, most interesting are the ones with free international shipping. Not to make advertising for both companies I mentioned, only to show up new options. I almost tend to get a non-fragrancy soap and splash, and add my own touch with the "inspired by", in the scent strength that fits my liking and mood.
