I love Bobby Q's. I'll have to try Little Miss BBQ the next time I go.
@bordaz14 жыл бұрын
As a Chicagoan from the '90s the only ribs I knew (and loved, lemme tell u) were those saucy baby backs at places like Carson's and The Patio. But as a westerner for the last 12 years, that changed when i started eating the full spare ribs at Texas-style places like Rudy's. Little Miss has the best ribs and pork butt i've ever had anywhere (sorry Okie Joe's), and in the past month from this comment they've changed their rib seasoning so it's even more fragrant. Bobby Q really does remind me of a southern-style family BBQ restaurant from the 90's, so it reminds me how my taste has changed!

It’s baby back versus spare ribs. Both are pork but just from different part of the rib. Baby backs are the upper rib between the spare rib and the spine. The central segment is the spare ribs which are located on the sides of the rib cage. The rib tips are an extension of the spare ribs and are cut off at the butcher and sold separate from the St. Louis spare rib cut.

Love your videos! I live in Arizona, next time you guys are here you have to give Naked BBQ a try. It’s a very small mom n pop type place and very close to where you were. Their brisket is amazing! I’m ashamed to say I haven’t tried little miss and I’ve been here 16 years 🤦🏻♀️ I am heading there next week!
@billandlisa5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the recommendation, Jenn! And, thanks for watching!
@bordaz14 жыл бұрын
Yes, Naked BBQ does have a very good pork sandwich, and on certain days they have pork belly as well (Little Miss has pork belly 'burnt ends' on Sundays but beware they're incredibly rich and should be shared or saved). Truth be told i don't see a reason to go to Bobby Q. It's very expensive and not near the quality of Little Miss, which is not only the best bbq in Arizona but probably the best Franklin clone in the country.

I would love to see you guys do a Mexican food shootout in Phoenix. There are a lot of great places but IMO, nobody can touch Carolinas...BEST cheese enchiladas, tamales, homemade tortillas, tacos, etc. Two locations but I like the north Phoenix place better. Tee Pee was highly recommended to us by many people but Carolinas smoked them....curious to see what you guys think.
@billandlisa5 жыл бұрын
Yes! We are planning to hit up some Mexican food in PHX, specifically, Cocina Madrigal. Are you recommending Carolinas on Cactus Rd? This may be a good shootout!
@sherstone5 жыл бұрын
@@billandlisa Yes, the one on Cactus is the better of the two in terms of aesthetic value and comfort. The other one is the original and is in an old building in a bad part of town. The food is the same though. This is real deal Mexican food...the kind I grew up on. Tastes like someone's mom made it because someone's mom Carolina did! She's passed but her kids and grandkids keep her recipes alive and the same as they always were. Can't wait for the vid! You have to get the homemade flour tortilla with butter. SO good and huge.

Here's the actual price breakdown, Dhalvid.. 2 meat plate was $16, adding the sausage was $4.25, 2 pecan pie (not mentioned) was $5 ea, plus 2 soft drinks. Compared to other bbq places we've had in other cities, this wasn't priced that bad. Thanks for watching. =)

Lil Miss is rated #2 in the nation. One of, probably the best place in world since the U.S. is known for their BBQ. They sale out within 3-4 hours after opening. People wait hours in line every day. With all that said it's a reasonable price for the demand. If you don't like it then there's an Arby's down the street you can go to instead, if you really want to get "ripped off".
