Recorded in the Mormon temple Phoenix, Arizona on June 21, 2016 w/ hidden camera by @NewNameNoah. This is a typical prayer circle that is part of every Mormon temple endowment ceremony.
I wanted to show what happens immediately after the prayer circle so I left the first few minutes of the "instructions at the veil" part that happens immediately following the prayer circle.

None of this is in the Bible or nor is this temple work directed in the Book of Mormon. Stick to the Gospel and words of Christ as directed by the Gospels and Nephi. When the Jews had their temple they didn't preform these ordinances. Smith was a mason. This temple work is an amalgamation of other rituals made from a conceptual theme of what someone else's view of God. LDS members please read Helaman 6

Those marks of the temple veil look like my cat tried to climb the veil. And they get underwear with the same marks as the temple veil, only the underwear is called "temple garments?" And when the hand came through the hole in the veil it reminded me of the same thing I saw once at a haunted house carnival ride! And those white shower caps on the men and the green aprons! And they get priestly tokens as if being in the priesthood is like taking the subway where you also need tokens. How can anyone keep a straight face in these endowments? And they honestly believe that this farce is sacred? And if this is one of the fastest growing churches in the world, then that doesn't say much for the intelligence of people, in general.

Holding up your arm in a 90 degree bend (similar to being sworn in for court or political office) is called "raising your arm to the square". Being silent is all a part of the Temple experience; a ritual that helps make it feel unique. The only music ever heard is actually in the prelude in the chapel before the endowment ceremony starts; an organist plays church hymns VERY SOFTLY as you sit in there and wait for the endowment to begin.

It’s not complicated at all. Believe and ask the Lord into your heart. When Lucifer appears in the Mormon temple ceremony he is wearing an apron. When Adam asks him about it Lucifer boldly replies: “It is an emblem of my power and Priesthoods” (25:15). So, there is no ambiguity here-the apron has nothing to do with God; it is an emblem of Satan’s power and priesthoods. A few minutes later, when they hear God coming, Lucifer tells Adam and Eve to make themselves aprons and hide (25:45). * Adam replies, “Come, let us hide,” and at that point in the ceremony everyone is told to put on their aprons. And they do. So, for the rest of the ritual, on top of their temple undergarments with the masonic-type markings, and on top of their white temple clothes, temple patrons wear a dark green apron-in obedience to Lucifer and symbolizing his power and priesthoods. * This stands in stark contrast to what happens in the Bible: God removes the fig-leaf coverings that Adam and Eve make and replaces them with animal skins He provides. This foreshadows and represents the covering for sins provided by Jesus when he was slain on the cross as the Lamb of God (see John 1:29; Hebrews 9:22). Lucifer says, “Make you aprons.” In effect, do some of it yourself-it’s the only way to preserve some semblance of pride, dignity, and self-respect, and to gain for yourself what you need. That is quite consistent with the instructions every Latter-day Saint is given before going through the temple endowment ceremony. * Your Endowment is, to receive all those ordinances in the House of the Lord, which are necessary for you, to enable you to walk back to the presence of the Father, passing the angels who stand as sentinels, being enabled to give them the key words, the signs and the tokens, pertaining to the Holy Priesthood, and thus gain your eternal exaltation. (7:05) Jesus said, “It is finished” (John 19:30). In effect, “I’ve done it for you, all of it. Now are you willing to humble yourself enough to simply take it?” As long as you are trying to contribute anything of your own to merit God’s provision of eternal life in His presence, you are rejecting the gift of Jesus Christ’s finished work on your behalf. Jesus said: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matt. 11:28). (Nowhere in the Scriptures does Jesus say anything about an apron…or grips…or signs and tokens.) Mormon Suicide I have come to the conclusion that A) The man doesn't stand a snowballs chance in hell of winning and B) I have numerous sources who have told me he is mentally ill and a bit dim witted. The link is still valid, it's just not a public post anymore. I see no need to give this dim witted, mentally ill Mormon man any more attention than he's already received. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4uckn2qgMZpna8

Mormon Suicide The idiot that I recorded doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell of winning the elected position he's running for. I have no desire to "debate" some moron (that's you) on whether or not homosexuality is a sin or whatever the hell it is you want to "debate" armed with a Bible as all the evidence you need.

"Snowballs chance" - Now I understand your position. If I'm such a moron then it would be easy. Fact is I'm an ex-Mormon who can use both the science or history or the Bible to debate the issue. How do you think I left Mormonism? I'm very well informed on the issue to not have to resort to ad hominem attacks with someone you hardly know. Furthermore, as an ex-Mormon you apparently have not learned your lesson from what that type of behavior leads to in the LDS Church. Once again, hopefully as ex-Mormons we have learned the lesson of discussing / debating people who do not hold the same viewpoint that we currently have.

I''m not LDS, nor do I attend any other church, so I don't have a dog in this race. It always amuses me though, in these comment sections, how Christians of other denominations will go on and on about "how weird" it all is, while at the same time they stand ready to tell you all about their virgin births, and resurrections, and prayers and holy spirits, and faith healing, or "name it and claim it" prosperity gospels....with the attitude "see? MY superstitions and fantastic claims are FAR more logical and rational than those weird Mormons!" And let me just state as someone on the outside looking in at ALL of your religions....believe me, yours is just as bizarre, so lets burst that balloon right now.

Are these... crocs on his feet? How is this even allowed? To me it seems disrespectful to wear such a thing even outside home... let alone in a "temple". These prayer circles get more funny the longer I watch them. As a former Catholic I can say: these rituals do not look funny once you are participating (today I cannot take a mass seriously... bearded man in golden dresses...singing and following a choreography... well).

I am a Mormon. I truly believe in my religion. This changes nothing. I see what you were trying to do, and I appreciate that you see it as right. I do not, however, appreciate it for many other reasons. The reason they’re secret isn’t because they’re weird or cultish- it’s because they’re supposed to be private, personal experiences. I am fully aware of all the weird stuff that goes on in temples, and I agree, it’s weird. Really weird. But our earthly minds can’t always see the eternal perspective of things. Yes, it’s weird, but 1: It doesn’t hurt anyone. 2: There are many classical Christian practices that could be considered similarly strange. In these rituals, you’re meant to feel the spirit and be in a peaceful, heavenly state of mind- out of context, you don’t get that. Again. Yes. It’s weird. It looks weird, it sounds weird, it’s weird. But that doesn’t make it bad. Mormons are taught to be kind, charitable, loving, accepting, inclusive, generous, honest, faithful people who love Jesus Christ and their neighbor. All our other teachings are merely appendices to that- The Savior’s infinite sacrifice for our souls. I love the Savior, I love my church, and I love my fellow human beings. God loves you too. I don’t agree with you, but you’re not “going to Hell” or anything- God loves you just as much as he loves me, and he loves me just as much as he loves the prophet, and he loves the prophet just as much as he loves the pope, etc. I find it disrespectful that you would share something that is meant to be personal, and I find it sad that people in the comments assume we’re a “cult” because we have practices that are foreign to them. I wish people could see not that our religion is true, which I believe it is, but that we are good, god-fearing people who love God, read the Bible, obey the Ten Commandments, and love our neighbors. Again, I believe in my religion, but even if it wasn’t true a loving God wouldn’t damn us to Hell for practicing a religion which teaches forgiveness, morality, charity, inclusion, and love. I am sad to see so many confuse our loving God with one who would do such a thing, and, while I can’t ask that you “join the church” or believe in it, I hope you see some day that we are (on the whole) good people, and we are not deserving of damnation for our beliefs.

Snas Teh Sketlen You wrote, "The reason they’re secret isn’t because they’re weird or cultish- it’s because they’re supposed to be private, personal experiences." Patriarchal blessings are also "supposed to be private, personal experiences," but they're not a secret at all. Ask just about any Mormon over the age of 16 about their patriarchal blessing and most of them will tell you all about them and probably share details of their own with you. You said, "1: It [temple ceremonies] doesn’t hurt anyone. 2: There are many classical Christian practices that could be considered similarly strange." Let discuss those points. #1. I'd challenge you to go to r/exmormon on Reddit and ask, "Does anyone here know anyone who was hurt by when they couldn't attend the wedding of their own son, daughter, or loved one?" You'll likely be inundated with countless, heartbreaking personal stories. #2. Name any Christian faith that has ordinances that they believe are required for exaltation that they refuse to talk about under the guise of, "It's too sacred to discuss." Do many Christian faiths have weird rituals? Yep. Do any of them conceal the details of their weird rituals from even most of their own members? Nope. You said, "Mormons are taught to be kind, charitable, loving, accepting, inclusive, generous, honest, faithful people who love Jesus Christ and their neighbor." Mormons also taught from at least 1847-2013 that black people were "marked with the curse of Cain (black skin)" and were essentially "less valiant in the war in heaven." Black people couldn't hold the priesthood or participate in the blessings of the temple until 1978. Mormons also teach that if someone is gay and legally married their children can receive a baby blessing or ever join the church unless they are: 1) 18 years old 2) Move out of their gay parents home 3) They disavow their parents completely legal same sex marriage. Hardly what I'd call "inclusive" You said you, "...find it disrespectful that [I] would share something that is meant to be personal, and I find it sad that people in the comments assume we’re a “cult” because we have practices that are foreign to them." If it makes you feel any better, I find it disrespectful that Mormon scripture says that Jesus Christ personally told Joseph Smith that all non-Mormon faiths are, "...an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt," (JSH 1:19). Up until April, 1990, the endowment ceremony featured a Protestant minister who was working as a hireling of Satan so your claims of Mormonism being, "kind, charitable, loving, accepting, inclusive, generous," etc. fall on deaf ears here.

NewNameNoah I don’t really have time to address everything but I’ll do my best. It may be unfortunate not to be able to attend someone you love’s wedding because you can’t enter the temple, but many Mormons have separate, more classical wedding ceremonies to include non-member family and friends. That’s what my parents did. Yes, all other faiths are corrupt. All scripture- including both the old and new testaments- use harsh language and hyperbole to get points across. We are also taught that all churches have goodness and truth, just not the fullness of the truth, and we are taught to respect and work with them to make the world a better place. Yes, we believe homosexual behavior is a sin. We believe that marriage is ordained of God and is reserved for a man and a woman (and, just in case it’s brought up, the issue of polygamy is entirely separate- it is doctrine that monogamy is God’s way). We do, however, encourage all to attend our services and learn more about our church. Gay people aren’t going to Hell, but homosexual behavior is indeed a sin. No one who obeys the churches principles will ever condemn you to hell or shun you from the church because of this behavior. We are taught to be loving and inclusive, but not pushovers. We do have principles. You also cannot be baptized if you’re under 18 without your parents’ consent. This is because we believe family is very important, and we don’t wish to break apart families. The idea that blacks were given the Mark of Cain is completely false, and we know that God loves every single one of his children equally, regardless of color. It was a popular theory, even picked up by some church leaders (who, like all of us, are imperfect- take the story of the prophet Jonah as an example), but it has been proven by modern revelation to be untrue. The reason blacks weren’t allowed the priesthood in the past is unknown to me, but logical reasons can be put forth. One of them is merely a question of safety. In those days, a black person with a position of power, such as the priesthood, would have been a target for violence and lynching, which is horrible and completely counterproductive. There is a lot that can be said, but I don’t have the time. I just wish you could see that we’re just people trying to do our best to follow Christ and love our neighbor. If you don’t want to hear it, you won’t, I suppose. But I for one am a respecter of all peaceful religions and beliefs. No one is perfect, but we’re all just doing our best. I have friends of many beliefs (baptist, methodist, Catholic, Jewish, atheist, and more), and we love and respect each other’s beliefs, and we learn from each other. We see each other for who we are, human beings who love other human beings, even if we think their beliefs are weird. I hope one day the bitterness will end and we can all just love each other. The first commandment is to love god, and the second is like unto it: love your neighbor as yourself. I’ll leave it here due to time, but I ask you to try to be a bit respectful, even if you disagree. I respect your beliefs, and you’re in my prayers. Thank you :)
