Mr. Teach you have overlooked two major things. 1. Holding space bar makes it the fastest mount in the game right now, much faster than a wyvern. 2. They can regain stamina without landing, all you have to do is stay still.... Pretty cool way to farm drops on the map.

Dawg the Phoenix melts stuff way faster than a refining forge or campfire it’s just worse than an indi forge/grill and their dash is currently the fastest way of transport in the game outside of maybe tek armor

On ASE you don't lose taming % outside heatwave But on ASA it looks like they are not stuck behind heatwaves events anymore but I can't confirm if that is true

Idea for video content,,, Phoenix, It's the only flyer that gathers metal crystal obsidian and element shards. Tame a good level. It may take eons. Never level it. Clone it. Transfer clones to future maps. Imo rerunning alpha manticore for the element to change to shards for cloning is worth it vs the time trying to find and tame more good level phoenixes. Happy Ark Day

I'm afraid you're wrong sir, i play official pvp and on old ark these things had hidden talent that nobody saw but a few, for one they couldn't be netted or shadowmaned, the blaze of fury attack could get riders off the back of tames and leave them a 10sec burn timer basically you die unless u have a canteen, if you had a tek chest u were able to just dismount mid air to get stamina idk how that would work with landing now tho, most people used it as a tame to whistle onto tek suiters because there was no escaping it and every bite gives u fire debuff.i have a video uploaded using a Phoenix to pvp of just small little clip montage.

Does anyone know how to farm sand with a phoenix? We got one just yesterday on ASA and whenever I farm rocks I only get stone and flints. He is meant to be a good sandfarmer but I dont know if that was maybe changed from SE to ASA. Does anyone know?

You forgot to mention they can replace the Anky/Argent combo because they can break rocks and harvest ridiculous amounts of metal with their talon attack

Phoenix also has a rare chance to poop black pearls too so keep that in mind. They make for great farms for those.

They are ez to tame if you can still trap them like you can on ase. you trap them throw oil jar in and set the oil on fire. one tip though is have an adobe room to shelter in untill it is done taming to protect you from the heat or have beds and sleeping bags near the trap

The bigger challenge is just to find one. For the longest time I didn't know they existed, and once I found out they were a thing, It took like a week of flying around on my wyvern during super heat to find one, because they're so rare.

They really should allow these to breed on vanilla. I don’t think it would be that good. Especially after Magmasaurs came out. Even more so since they changed their fire to a color region. I get that there’s some prestige in getting on during a color event, but I don’t see the issue with making them breedable. Nerf their base stats or have a unique breeding method if you must.
