You can see Eric realising just how out of his depth he really is here. Starts off taunting Jean, trying to drive a wedge. Then he warns Charles maybe to back off, starting to realise the danger. Then he gets flung unto the kitchen and you can see the fear in his eyes... but not for himself. The moment Charles starts floating, you can almost read "She's going to kill him!" in those eyes. He even begins to plead with her. And then that final word. "CHARLES!" He did this. He knows he did. And it got his oldest friend killed.

They both understood there would be risk in approaching Jean and Charles was always going to have a more personal experience with the Phoenix being how close the Professor and Jean had been. Eric didnt help with his comments but it was probably inevitable the Phoenix would lash out at Charles for many complicated subtextual reasons. I agreee with everything else you said.

Man 2:20 is so insane. I remember being 9 years old with my childhood friend (both our moms took us to see this) and of course we’re both there to see Wolverine kick ass but I thought Mr.X was so powerful that he started to float, but then my mom leaned over and whispered “she’s so strong she lifted professor X out of his chair” my jaw DROPPED I looked to tell my friend and come to find out his mom told him the same thing! both of our moms really put into perspective how strong Jean is when she loses control and to make things better. They loved comics as kids.

I think it caught a lot of people off guard. This movie went all in on just being the finality of the franchise. I mean I remember I was taken off guard by how many important characters they killed off in this movie. That and in hind sight, the movie felt rushed with the level of important characters that died and the merging of two storylines. That being said, I absolutely agree with you. This movie is far better than the humor filled superhero movies coming out now. Those movies are making a whole mockery of the comic genre and are giving people support as to why not to take them seriously. There was such a strong foundation to stand on with the Spiderman, X Men, and Dark Knight movies. The whole genre has turned into a laughing stock at this point.

Magnetos last ''CHARLES'' was so well delivered, you can hear and see a hint of sadness, loss and regret. He was his best friend, and now hes gone, because he needed Jean, he never would've killed Charles to accomplish his plans for mutants.

It’s actually really heart bracingly depressing to see jeans and zaviers fight that’s the man she saw as a father that raised her being torn apart by a monster he helped create 😢😢 When he says “look what happened to Scott! U k-lled the man you ❤️ because you couldn’t control you power!” These are desperate words 😖😖😖 And magneto actually calling for it to stop but it’s already so chaotic 😫😫😫 And like the one second of peace when Professor X says “ don’t it let control you” as his FINAL WORDS 🥺🥺🥺 like magneto look what you’ve done Like magneto you suck so much because you down on your enemy when your just as bad but I get it like you were a holocaust survivor and watched your mom be dragged into a camp like it would fuck me up too 😭😭😭😭😭

The way everyone is helplessly watching, that aggressively scary dead stare from Jean, how she froze all sound and movement right before the kill, Xavier with that final stare of acceptance, SOOOO MUCH SHIT GOING FOR THIS ONE SCENE. My only issue with this scene, it’s minor, is that when storm did her tornado spin there were thunder clouds and then through out the rest of the scene it was clear skies. You can argue that she wasn’t using her powers while inside the house but there was a scene in the beginning of the movie that she changed the weather and it stayed like that without her using her powers and she had to change it back. But still the best scene

I also don't understand how the other two mutants who were slapped away by storm during her tornado attack were downed permanently by that one attack. They were nowhere to be seen for the rest of the fight and that just perplexed me.
