In the manga Burn Phoenix was sealed away in the same shrine as L Drago, it was that powerful. It's likely the destruction of the shrine broke the seal of Phoenix and then Ryo found it and took it along 🔥

Gignkas dad is actually a pretty good and powerful blader. He was able to take down gingka and doji and in a particular scene in metal masters he shows how powerful he is by using his special move and beating a whole bunch of other bladers using their special moves
