Just tried Magneto for the first time, using Valkyrie....I'm not too experienced with the game but losing so many times so quickly, I can't figure out if Magneto is just difficult, or Valkyrie is not a good hero, or if it's just me! Every time the first main scheme advanced, something else seemed to happen that immediately caused the second main scheme to advance then, one turn later - game over.

The key for me is to time out the flips of the main scheme so you don't get hit too hard with the magnet counters. When the main scheme flips, all the old counters get removed off (a lot of people miss that rule). So that's kinda my key. Get set up, let the first scheme pop then go hard the next two. It's a rush in the beginning to get through those side schemes.. then if you can get the steady off of Magneto, done. Should be much easier to win.

@@D20Woodworking Get the 'steady' off, or the toughness? The magnet counters made sense to me, but I can't seem to beat the Master Mold side scheme to get it into the victory before the first main scheme advances. So, I'm in alter ego and Magneto schemes causing the first main scheme to advances. I get an M-Type Sentinel engaging with me because I haven't beaten the MM side scheme (which I think you missed in this playthrough?). Because the sentinel engages with me during step 2 of the villain phase, I think that means he will also scheme. His scheme of 2, plus a boost of at least 3 will put enough threat on the second main scheme (which starts with 1 threat) to cause it to advance immediately. It just feels like I'm doing something massively wrong with this particular of the scenario, or am massively unlucky with my boost draws.

Just watched this again and understand about getting the steady off! Never gonna do that with Valkyrie's 1 thwart 😂 Also answers my query about your "missing" sentinel. No wonder I'm bad at this game if I can't even pay full attention to one of your playthroughs 😜

@@D20Woodworking I highly doubt that! I've retired Valkyrie for now, until you put up a video on how to make her work well solo. Gambit against Magneto though....such a different experience!

With dr strange on standard he’s easy, I think expert would also work. With hawkeye I almost had him but got unlucky thwart which ended the game
