I don't remember if he ever said as much, but if you check out the CMSpyrowolf channel the original video is on, you'll see his pfp has similar glasses to his sona, the latest video uses his name Ben, and there's a three year gap between when he stopped uploading to that channel and started using MysteryBen. Also we know he's into Ace Attorney.

Which I think isn't taxable under Inheritance Laws and therefore he wouldn't have to pay anything for it. So, at the end of the day, Hedge got the best deal out of everyone present. Plus, you know, there was Ice Cream too. Also don't think that's on the Taxable Lists either.

I think that he also realized that the brother is the only one who was smart enough to catch on *and* protect himself (unlike the "know-it-all" who didn't protect himself even after everything that came before), so he, A. Did him early, and B. Gave him something real first to get his guard down. Also, as Soren noted, if he hates the whole family, giving the alcoholic a ton of wine and whiskey is basically helping him drink himself to death that much faster, so even if it's something Hedge would appreciate as a gift it's not *that* nice.

I gotta say thank you for remastering this! The original video got me through some hard times (i'm serious, this skit was so funny to me 15 years ago that I would watch it when I felt depression kicking in) and today I decided to search for it again due to some REALLY big changes in my life causing me a depressive spell. I'm so glad others loved the original so much that it got a touch up!

The alcoholic brother reminds me of my grandfather's brother who I never met. He had a tendency to get roaring drunk on Midsummer's Eve and start fighting people... he ended up in newspapers in the 1930s and 1940s _three times_ as a result. First time, he got into a drunken argument with a colleague and hit the guy in the hip with a crowbar; the second time, he _and_ my grandfather attacked another guy with logs of firewood (???); and the third time, he poked a guy's eye out with a knife. He was arrested all three times and most likely paid fines or ended up in jail, lol. I was in stitches when I found those newspapers a few years ago. It was such stereotypical behavior for a farmer, it was like a black comedy skit. Heck, the firewood attack sounds like something out of Ace Attorney.
