From one cellphone repair man to another; using playing cards is amazing for removing Samsung back glass. It can cut the adhesive but flex with the curves on the back and eliminate breaking! :)

8:38 Bro exactly. I got a new laptop and took apart my old one after the keyboard and touchpad went kaput. I disconnected them and used an old keyboard and mouse from my mom's 25 yr old PC and the lap itself was 5 years old. It worked perfectly fine for a few days and after I left it to charge at about 3 am (watching KZbin). The next morning my mom woke me up and told me that the damn thing had caught fire. Thank God it didn't spread. Now my desk has this huge black mark where the laptop was sitting and few of school notebooks got singed too. Idk. This is my first experience, so shared it. LoL

Just a tip - Use some liquid called ECSP-spray, so u can pill the backglass of easily. From one repairguy to another. And i like your videos! :-) great job

To help with getting the main board in, along with the antennas. Lift the charge port flex up slightly, plug in the main board with it being vertical, slowly lay it down, and slide the antennas into there place, should all just slide together.

What’s so interesting is from what you said in the beginning of the video, we are very alike! I was always interested in tech things, and I too wanted to be a ethical hacker. I also do have the same reason why I love to fix things and see things fixed, I love to see people happy their device is fixed and it’s awesome to see older things fixed and restored to their previous glory. Plus fixing things is fun (for the most part lol) and can help put less e-waste out there. Great video as always!

Use a thred to remove the backdoor. Put it along your finger and then put the thread in thw corner then just swipe left and right make sure the phone is in place.

I took my phone to a greasy repair shop to get new back glass on my XS that I upgraded to from the 6s,then I get it back and it’s lagging badly and randomly shuts off like it’s stuck in boot loop. It never did this previously. So I didn’t bring the phone home and ended up getting me a red 11 and got my girl the 12 pro for the camera as our babies model for clothing and magazine companies so we have to take and edit our own photos. Well worth it in my opinion!

I fixed my note 9 and the back glass broke twice since the charger port was broke initially and so I put the replacement part on. I reassblemed it thinking the mic worked and it didn't. So I broke the back glass again to get into the phone to replace the charger assblemly again with one that I got from I fix it. The phone works great now! Overall it was a $30 fix which a shop I went to wanted $140 for the charger port with new backglass because I wasn't sure if mine was gonna break when they fixed it. I was tempted to buy a new phone but I've been watching your videos and a lot of repair tech youtubers lately that inspired to fix my phone so I didn't have to get a new $1200 one so thanks!

i completely agree with what you’re saying about how it is fulfilling and enjoyable to fix stuff. Although i fix stuff around the house or on cars. As a mechanic i love diagnosing and fixing problems. You get stuck on a broken bolt or rusty parts. Gotta find a workaround and when it works i am over the moon.

I find when doing any Samsung that has the daughter board with the signal wires, you just remove everything together. Don’t disconnect the two boards or signal wires.

My first ever repair was an ipad 6, had two of em with broken glass (little brothers aren't careful) my mom ordered the part for one, I did okay, might have killed the GPS and/or one of the speakers, still not sure, but it seemed to work for a while, until it started crashing randomly, still not sure if it was my fault. The second one I did the same thing, except I screwed up again and somehow killed the LCD, left it for a while a bit discouraged until I put them together and got one "good" ipad and one missing a ton of stuff. It was a rookie job, full of rookie mistakes, but everything started making sense after a while. Now I lile buying the old ipods and fixing them. It's not nearly as challenging, but to my siblings it still seems like rocket science lol

I started that because I went to a shop to get the battery on my 5s replaced but they changed my display, homebutton and the front camera! Happend twice and from then I started repairing it

A series are super worth it, the newest ones come with a kind of durable frosted plastic back which also makes it feel and look premium still. My uncle was playing with the football and he accidentally threw it at my hand, my phone fell and the screen and back are still perfect even with a hard hit from the ball. First time I ever seriously dropped this phone. Your video editing skills should also be worth mentioning, extremely funny!

The iPhone 6 was exactly my story but at the age of 15. But After the board failed, I took off all the parts from it and sold them like the screen, camera etc. and bought a new phone lol

when i open samsung back glass.. i always dip my prying tool in IPA first... it help to dissolve the glue and make it easier to open.

Again, friendly advice from someone who repairs Samsungs daily. There's no need to disconnect the coaxial wires, the sub-board and the main board when removing it from the housing. Leave it all connected and just lift them all out together..... You'll thanks me a bunch later! and you'll no longer have the issue tucking the coaxial cables back under and struggling to connect the sub and main board.

Cold water helps get glass slivers out of the skin. It contracts the pores and can push out the glass slivers sometimes
