That is incredible. It is amazing how far photogrammetry has come in the last few years, most basic types even possible with free software. This however, is beyond modeling... It looks real!

This was one of my first attempts at photogrammetry and what I can tell you is that it is a very interesting and powerful technique. There are free programs to do this like meshroom.

@@aendom Yes, Meshroom can turn videos into nice models. Also I have been using it to create huge high poly models, but the down side is UV mapping gets messed up if you try to clean up the mesh. It is hard to do baking with the visual information... It can be done, though. I work primarily in Blender. Any more tips or videos on this subject? I may or may not have seen them yet. Your's is great work but more examples in Blender often help for me to get a solid fundamental understanding. What do you think?

@@pa.l.2499 There are a ton of tutorials, Check CG Geek. I always check a lot of videos before making a test. For the UVs I First make a retopo, you can Try an auto-retopo or do it by hand but some times that's too much work. After that the best program for baking (IMO) is marmoset, I have not used anything better than that.

@@aendom nice... i have gotten into a nice worflow lately, in the last week, with reducing polygons with Meshroom and Meshlab, the tool in blender to reduce polygons as you know is not the most efficient with uv maps and the deconstruction takes a while. I am going to rewatch parts of this video. Then I hope to go to CG Geek and the guy from Poliigon on the subject of UV unwrapping- which I need work on for topological models and faces. While this render goes I don't know if I can use my computer and minimize blender (also I have been looking up on reducing render times...). Will this create artifacts, or render output problems? Slower times... Probably, but poor results?

@@aendom i watched it again. I am considering purchasing this software if it isn't too high because this looked so awesome. You really baked that bread, buddy.

Todos empezamos modelando y luego llega esta maravilla ¿no te ha dejado asombrado en ningún momento?
@aendom4 жыл бұрын
Definitivamente llega a ayudar a muchos.

Is there a reason you bake in Marmoset and not in Blender?
@aendom5 жыл бұрын
The Baker in Marmoset its the most intuitive baker I have ever used. I tried to do the same with Blender and Substance Painter with no good results. And I had a lot of pressure because I needed to do 6 assets for a client ASAP and I just wanted good results. I even tried 3dcoat and other programs too! hahaha

Might be a bit late to get a reply, however I am confused with one step. Once you do the retop for to get a low poly, how do you make sure your UV's occupy the same space as before?
@aendom4 жыл бұрын
I always reply to all comments. When the retopo its done, make a new set of UVs. And bake the diffuse map and the normal map from the high poly to the low poly via Marmoset

would be cool to see if you could get the bottom as well. Also careful with the pictures, you got some pretty crazy dof going on making your texture more blurry than necessary :)

The outcome waa really good I really like your process and pieces...! :3 I have a cue, though... When you were UVing the Bread, you took the front part and the holes and isolated them with seams? How can someone know how to uv properly? Cheers!
@aendom4 жыл бұрын
To solve the UVs is something that changes with every project. I do a lot of trial and error to get less distortion. And about this specific project, I isolate every hole to get better results. Are you looking to avoid distortion with UVs or what are you looking for? Thanks for reaching out!
