So awesome. I can’t believe this kind of technology is relatively user friendly.

A lot has happened in the area of photogramemtry! Maybe more will come this year which will make the workflow even better!

It's awesome right? It's sweet how an average person can jump right into asset creation and 3D modeling these days and really only have to learn a few steps along the way to be decent at it and decide if they want to delve deeper and learn more. There's tons of free applications that do practically everything the paid applications do while still being just user friendly enough (I say this because Blender certainly has a learning curve). You no longer have to be crazily talented artistically with the advancement of tech like this. You just need to have a camera, learn some basic steps and that's it. Dealing with UV's and textures can be a pain in the butt for new people but that's it.

Hi ! Great video, thanks ! How did you managed to apply the same texture to the low poly versions ? From what I understand, when you decimate on Zbrush, you do not have the same UV anymore so you can't simply just drag and drop the texture on it again, right ?

Hey, thank you for your comment. You can set the decimate process in Zbrush up to keep the original UV layout. But this limits the reduction you can achieve. Please take a look at the second video in the series to see more on how to further reduce the polycount and bake the textures to those new meshes. kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4TUdYFrZqp1d6s

The techniques shown apply for all photogrammetry cleanup processes. For now we only know that there are many companies developing tools to scan stuff and we will cover that in future videos.
