Photographing Nocturnal Wildlife: Cane Toads In NIGHT VISION

You'll probably find the bigger ones are females. Many years ago, doing first year biology at uni, we dissected cane toads. They'd been humanely euthanised the night before, but the nerves in the heart were still active, the hearts were still beating for a while. It's a bit unnerving when you cut an animal open and see this little heart still beating.

ahhh yes, I knew I had heard that before. Makes sense! Brutal... they're close to invincible, that's what makes them so successful
