went to the highlands as well in 2018, but unfortunetly we had grey skies und low clouds so the view was limited to 50m... i remember standing at the same point as you in the beginning of the video and asking myself why are the highlands so hyped... it looks like shit :D Now i know why...hahah glad you had such great conditions! But i cant watch such a video without the feeling that i missed a chance... i guess i have to go back soon to the highlands of iceland

Sometimes the scenery makes you so in awe! Those skies and that scenery is amazing. I've experienced something like that too and left me very small. In fact, I actually stopped photographing for I was so in awe of what I was seeing. Did get some great photos (for a beginner). That feeling at that time.... I'll never forget that. I am completely taken by the one at 15:11, looks like a scene straight out of the Lord of the Rings with the sun rising above the mountains as if there is fire inside the mountain. Spectacular production as always! Your photography skills are awesome, and your ability to put together these features shows equal skill. One man making it seem as though there are a dozen people putting this all together. Perhaps you could devote a video to the post production work: Setup, Reviewing, editing, soundtrack, etc. Skillfully weaving these stories. You have a knack for making a quality movie each time. While it's obviously a labor of love, it's also a major investment of time to get to the final satisfying cut. Looking forward to Part 3.

Last week's video inspired me so much my wife and I made a weekend trip and visited the areas you visited in the highlands. Axlafoss, Raudabotn and Maelifell. What a glorious trip. The black sands were blowing and dusting so hard we almost turned back. It looked like we were not going to see anything. But we pressed on and had an amazing experience. Shots were moody and fierce and atmospheric. I am an American living in Iceland for now and have experiences like you show us in this video that make life glorious. Get out there, be present and always grateful are the keys to landscape photography in my mind. It's just that in Iceland the gods are so much more generous. I wonder some times if I am a better photographer here, or just more blessed. I know this miraculous land makes me more aware and alive. It's always giving the unexpected. Thank you for sharing that experience in this week's video, bringing it alive to the world. Your excitement is contagious.
