In this landscape photography video I try for a second attempt at photographing from the summit of Great gable at sunset, the last video I made shows my previous failed attempt. I use my Fujifilm GFX 50r and photograph a beautiful evening.

The build up to the image with the driving and hiking adds to the overall viewer experience and when you see the work that goes into making the video, like you were here, filming in the dark Thomas, viewers would be hard hearted not to appreciate the work you put in. In terms of your van squealing on starting up, what was done to eradicate it?

Great Video, Thomas! Think what the viewers are want to see is Thomas going on his microadventure and the fun he feels from making plans, preparations, travel, camp, cook, scout, climb, fight the elements, see him over the shoulder making decisions out of the situation and getting touched be an unbeliebable beautiful solution he found for taking the photograph. After such a video, we want to be Thomas and go out for our next shoot. I am doing so for the last 4 years and feel great, even if I only manage to go out for an hour or so. Thanks for making this videos, Thomas! Folks, buy his book it is full of more adventure spirit! Cheers, Max

I don't care what introduces us to the adventure. I don't care if you get awesome images, or none at all - it shows us what's normal and that we too experience normal. I love that you take us places, share experiences, share the joys and delights, as well as the frustrations and challenges. For as long as you're enjoying it, feel free to keep sharing what you do, however you want to.

We just like YOU Thomas. We like to see your successes but also the realism in the times you can’t get a shot when the conditions are poor. Every photographer will experience that. If you are glass half full person you will always find something good about the experience. I like the process bits, the ridiculously early starts, the van, the maps, the checking the weather, the long hiking and the problems / disasters and the days everything just doesn't come together. I think it gives a much better picture of what the actual work entails, it's not just rock up to final location, whip out a tripod and take an awesome shot.

Love the opening. Variety is the spice of life, and maybe that's why I also enjoyed the van customizing videos. Do whatever gives you joy in making the video of the week or day. If you're not having a great time making the video it will lack the spark of seeing someone enjoying their craft. I also enjoy the humor you share, including wild hair moments. I've made up my mind to spend more time on a single shot than coming home with hundreds of files. My hard drive will thank me.

I enjoy all your videos, but I find the wandering in van, or the camping and hiking leading up to the actual photography is what really sets you apart from most KZbin Photographers. You present such a realistic presentation of all that is involved and the nature of landscape photography. You show how much work it is, and how often you work hard and still don't get any amazing shots. I love that honesty and realism. I also think you do such an amazing job with the quality of your hiking footage and B-roll that I almost feel like I am along for the journey! My recommendation, keep doing everything you've been doing! I never miss a video!
