I'm sure the tutorials are great, but $300? Most of this information can be found freely over the internet, from photographytalk.com to youtube channels etc. I have learnt most of what I know from tutorials on the internet (and years of experimenting in the field of course) and am now getting professional results from my compositions.

I thought basically the same! I'd love to follow those guys along with their KZbin Channel explaining stuff and having thing's like Patreon or so where you can freely get more options for money. I know that Benjamin Jarworsky and Calvin Hollywood do a great job of sharing their information freely and paid as well :) But it's non of our business and I think we have to gain the experience the hard way (I'm a student, so 300$ is better off in equipment than tutorials for me) ^^

You can do most everything in this tutorial with CS6. There are so newer tools Adobe has added that you might not be able to replicate exactly but there are usually work arounds for those specific instances.

+Shaun Hilton Definitely didn't say that. I was simply saying that an iPhone is capable of taking very professional looking images and video, especially for web. Most of this stuff (aside from the high ISO or long exposure stuff) could certainly be done with a phone at a lower resolution. Much of the footage in this promo was shot with a Phone or GoPro actually. All of the drone footage was shot with a GoPro.

+friður phones in general these days are incredible, but with sensors so tiny I don't think they will ever truly match a DSLR! As the light fades away you'll be introducing a lot of noise but with a tripod and an adapter you could definitely capture some amazing shots with a phone!!
