Photography Helped Me Through a Stressful Time

This is episode 8 in my series about my daily life as a wildlife photographer.
Hi everyone. It feels like forever since I have shared my daily life with you. I have simply been too busy with lectures, assignments, events and a lot of other things. To be completely honest it has been too stressful.
Luckily nature photography can do more than adding beautiful photos and memories to the archive - it is the best cure, when I need to reconnect with myself and find my zen.
This video is most of all a life update catching up with the past 2 month, and I am looking forward to sharing my future adventures with you.

If there's something you can always count on, it's nature. Whenever I feel down or life is especially turbulent, I take some time to get outside and remind myself what's really important. As an artist and creator, I like to take my sketchbook, my journal, and my camera and go for long walks, taking in the magical beauty that is everywhere. Notice the often overlooked things, watch the beautiful creatures living their own lives completely separate from your own, open your ears to the sounds, feel the ground on your feet, and smell the fresh air (hopefully it's a pleasant smell). At the end of the day, nature is the most powerful thing in existence and we must remember that. ❤🌿

Morten, I can relate to what you were saying. Before I retired, I had a very stressful job and getting out in the woods with my camera was one of the few things that kept me sane and centered. Now that I'm retired, being out in the woods with my camera is just for the joy of being out in the woods. Very little life stress now but I still cherish every moment on the trail with camera in hand. Thank you for sharing this video with us. PS: you have a heater in your hide. That's just not fair. (just joking, wish I had a heater a couple weeks ago when it wan -20F).

I follow several nature photographers on youtube and normally watch a video right when I see it came out. No matter wether I actually have time to watch it or if I only watch it on the side for example when I am doing some other stuff. When I see one of yours coming out I don't. I watch it at the first chance I get where I have nothing else to do on the side to not miss anything about it. I so enjoyed watching it. Nature is always an inspiration. A little snow this morning, sun afterwards and colours of lichens were exploding. Small things, but how beautiful. First hazel blossoms stretching, already tiny green leaves on an elder bush. Frosty now, we'll see what wonders the morning light might bring.

I think this may be my favourite video so far Morten.
