*Did what you shouldn't do and googled:* _"Blue water lakes contain low concentrations of algae and other substances, resulting in high clarity and a deep blue color. Water molecules absorb longer, visible wavelengths (e.g. red light, 600-700 nm) while shorter, blue wavelengths (< 500 nm) pass deeper into the water column."_

Dolomite rocks contain carbonate minerals, with calcium and magnesium. These elements prevent algae to bloom and help sedimentate some dissolved particles (dirt, clay) in the water, making it clear. Plus, these kind of lakes receive mostly mountain water, which is cold, sometimes rich in heavy metals, preventing algae to reproduce or slowing its process down.

I had the same issue there with my drone! Wasn't sure whether I could or couldn't fly it so didn't bother... until I became so frustrated with all the millions of Instagrammers all crowding the place that I sent the drone up anyway just to try and get something at least vaguely different and creative. Nobody told me off though... maybe I was there too early for the stroppy guy :D

Hey James, I am really sorry this doesn't relate to the video but I have a dilemma, I bought a d3200 and traded an old lumix for a Tamron 18-200 di 2 lens which I thought would work but its an old model apparently, so I can only use manual focus... do I use it until I can get a new one (Christmas) or do I try and sell it to buy another one? And if I sell it, which lens should I get in replacement? Thank you so much and I also really enjoyed the video!

I think drones are not allowed at least near the pier. We were there in September. There was one drone and the people in the boat renting place quickly asked to stop flying it. However there was another drone in the other side of the lake but no one didn't stop them. Perhaps there's no one to monitor.
