2023 I'm here! I've been really stressed out recently because I have a lot on my mind. I'm always thinking about how to improve my English and how to learn English much faster. I feel like I put myself under too much pressure and I'm completely burnt out. Now, because I worked myself into the ground I'm at breaking point. I know it's no use being stressed. It's a process that takes time and when the going gets tough I should take a break, go out to take a breath of air, and chillax😅. Dear Emma, your lesson was incredibly useful. I can't thank you enough ❤!

Hi Emma, An interesting and unique lesson about "stress expressions". I sincerely appreciate your efforts and learned lots of new idioms. Homework: * It's a high pressure job and you could burn out young. * He is so depressed. He doesn't seem able to snap out of it at all. Stress is an unavoidable part of everybody's life. So the best way to overcome and deal with stress is always think positive and enjoy life to keep your self busy and happy. Thanks and regards.

In 2009 I've worked for the whole weekend non-stop, we were taking overnight shifts to watch an automated migration that was running throughout the weekend and we needed to pay attention to any failure that could happen during the execution and fix it right away in order to get all data ready before the weekend ends. Not only the weekend was extremely exhausting, but we also had to wake up very early at the next Monday to assist users with any major issue that could pop up, so then, I was definitely burning the candle at both ends by waking up early after a long weekend working hard. Thanks for the lesson Emma!

I've been speaking English for many years so I think I've got a pretty good grasp on it. I've been lucky enough in my life to have lived in many different countries and have been exposed to many, many accents over the years. Listening to others speak English with very little accents to almost impossible to understand accents has taught me that as long as the idea is understood, accents are just cool to listen to no matter how different it is to your own. I love accents from all over the world. That is why during my search on KZbin to hear various English accents, I found English with Lucy. On one video she had you and an American girl, Vanessa as guests teaching us about the differences between British, Australian and American accents. And that, Emma, is how I found your channel. Loved the lesson (even if I really didn't need it) but I really love your accent.

Most of us are feeling burnt out because of being doing home office and the whole family is at home all the time. We have so many things on our minds that I think we ll be at a breaking point very soon. It s not easy to adapt to so many changes so soon all of us, we sometimes snap at each other because of any nonsense. I hope all of us can cope with this quarantine and be healthy too. Hi Emma~ Here's my paragraph: It’s only three days left before the first lecture of this semester. I feel very stressed and under pressure to study my graduate program. The enrolment and orientation have already made me run into the ground since they’re all in English. After an entire day’s online events, I snapped at my mom because I was really exhausted and lost my patience. What a day!

I’m burning the candles at both ends. Working from home and looking after the homeschooling kids while Melbourne is locking down, it kills me. I snapped at my kids today because they didn't follow the homeschooling schedule, and I felt I almost bit my husband's head off when he allowed kids to watch TV prior to finishing their activities. Everything is falling apart at the seams. Lol! Emma, it's just a homework paragraph, I am coping alright, much better than the situation in my story. I hope you can take easy and relax. Most importantly, be safe! Love from Sydney😘

I'm so glad that this story isn't exactly what you're living right now... it sounds stressful 😂 But it's a great story! 👏 "Working from home and looking after my kids who are homeschooling while Melbourne is *locked down* kills me." ✔️ "...and I felt *like* I almost bit my husband's head off when he allowed *the* kids to watch TV prior to finishing their activities." ✔️
