I would say there are 3 golden rules, that I've learned trough my years of gaming and most likely sniping in different games: Patience is key: don't rush your shot's and basicly anything else. Keep calm, make a plan and then pull the trigger. Remain unpredictable and predict: this is a thing I myself am learning at the moment, but sometimes just not being somewhere can be really useful. I also want include reading your opponents in here, because it's really easy to punish someone after the mess up. You need experience to be good at this, and to get that you need practise. Speaking of which. Practise: one of my favourite quotes: "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." by Thomas A. Edison. If you don't do it, you will never get better at it. I don't queue for CS go MM (ranked version of the game) and not even for casual to go and do AWP because I don't want to dissapoint myself (the only person who's oponion I care about) and I'm doing it wrong. So to get better you need to patient. And look we are back where we started. 1 Bonus Fen tip: keep it calm. Anyone can be calm. If I were to tell Phuzzy, that I used to rage a lot and scream at PC he would laugh, partly because he have nearly never played with me, and partly because I've changed. Calmness is not where someone just doesn't care. Calmness is when someone accepts, that they have lost, messed up or things are how they are, and you need to do something useful. And screaming is not one of them. I'm not wise, I'm not a pro gamer, but I'm here to teach those I can. (I just described Phuzzy in one sentence.)

"Why would someone go for PvP with no cannonballs?" A friend of mine was with me on his first voyage. At the end we saw another sloop and decided to attack. "Do you want to shoot or at the wheel?" I asked. He wanted to shoot. When we got closer, he shot once. "Why stopped the canon shooting!?" "You need canonballs. I told you before." "I need canonballs?!?!?" :D Many new players are used to playing games with many convenient functions. They don't know what to expect in SoT. They will either learn or turn away. And maybe they hoisted the flag because they thought it looks cool.

Me and my brother found a very effective method of dealing with obvious boarders. I would take a blunderbuss and stand right behind him while he harpooned them out of the water so they got a face full of lead the moment they landed on our ship.

I usually only take high tier loot. Unless they are new, things like captains chests and cursed chests help new players get a boost in rep. Low tier loot isn’t worth time due to the microscopic amount of rep you can get.

Hi, I've watched about 7 videos so far. Enjoyable. My observation is the more your whole crew is involved and having fun makes the videos even more fun and informative. They build layers like good food. I find the video cuts super confusing. I'm just getting involved in the story and it skips. I encourage more continuity. I hope this is helpful. Obviously you are very good at the game and at anticipating people's reactions.

I just had an encounter with a solo sloop I was also solo I lost one piece of loot because I wanted to lose this so he parks next to me and I take a chest of sorrows over to his boat knowing it would start filling his boat soon he decides to jump off his boat and goes to mine and starts throwing fire bombs I kill him and he goes on without a ship also the meg was in my favour he was also parked in the firing range of a skelly fort. I win.
