Ms. Hyman was/is the complete Hollywood package! If only she had lived❤️👑🎉🌟⚡️💫🏆…✨⭐️🎤✍🏽🎼🎭👣👣👣I’ll never forget back in the 80’s when my younger brother in his early 20’s and I was in my late 20’s told me about this incomparable beautiful, multi-talented, humorous, classy lady… I am still a huge fan to this day 29 years later almost to her death and dedicated her song “I’m Truly Yours” to my husband (Then fiancee when she passed away while we were on a picnic date💞). RIP Natural Queen Diva❤️🌹. The PH Musical Tribute in Chicago was full of smiles and happy tears…

My heart wrenches, that she felt so alone and in a dark place, that she couldn’t stay with us anymore. I also understand, it wasn’t selfish & her illness brought her to her darkest days. I wish I could talk to her and tell her she was loved and it’s okay to get help. It’s hard because we don’t know what’s going through individuals mind. I’ve been there and there was nothing selfish. All I wanted was the pain to stop. Your extraordinary voice is with us today . Rest In Peace beautiful Phyllis.

It’s so interesting to watch her behavior. Learning so much about my own mental Health I can pick up on when something is going on with someone. She acts alot like Jennifer Lewis (who is bipolar) and also had a wild side . That disorder had her acting out with alcohol, drugs, and sex. She also seems very lonely and that alone can drive some people over the edge . Patti recently spoke about her saying that Phyllis was off the chain and at times she tried to talk to her and tell her she needed to slow down etc etc and Phylis would brush her off.

@Stormy D. You're being too sensitive. Phyllis promoted black women like her designer and her attorneys. This was especially important decades ago. Of course she liked white people - that's not the point.

She was 6' 1/2" and even stated that herself in an interview and including this one. I have a few pictures standing next to her and surprised to see we were about the same height (my height estimates have ranged from 5'11" recently to "Oh no, you're definitely 6'1"). Thing is she had a "presence", definitely a stage presence, that made her seem much larger than she was. Standing next to her I still felt small before seeing those pictures to discover we were about the same height.
