Wow!!! My first time hearing Phyllis Hyman singing this rendition of the Lord’s Prayer!!! So beautiful and amazing!!! I remember growing up being exposed to her music!! She just had that voice that was so dope and lovely, and powerful!!! I was 11 years old in 95 and when I heard the news of her death on the radio while in the car with my mom, I was so shocked and saddened. I’m 36 now and I still listen to her music!!

I love watching musicians watch and admire a vocalist...vocalist have to earn the respect of a musician ...after all she or he is just another instrument in the band however the vocalist is the only one who has control of the words...therefore that instrument can frame the entire performance...The guys in the band in this video are vividly pleased at Ms. Hyman's performance...she is awesome..
