Love your open and honest attitude! People who judge get on my last damn nerve. My husband's grandmother is a zealous Christian that judges way too much - of course she views as trying to "save" people. Yet she has been married 4 times, once to her sister's ex husband! We are all human and we all deserve love, whether it fits what many consider "normal" does not matter as long as all involved are happy.
@Phyrra6 жыл бұрын
That describes a lot of my family! Some have been very supportive and great. Others very judgmental. But like you say, as long as everyone involved is happy, we all deserve love.

You’ve been busy!!!! I think it’s awesome you are open about your relationship, although you certainly owe no one an explanation! It’s great that people can understand from a vlogger/blogger they look up to the different types of love and relationships and how happy one can be regardless of who and how many! 💕

Thanks for sharing your personal/love life with us! Not that you owe details or an explanation to anyone but I think being open about polyamory definitely helps de-stigmatize it. which is an excellent thing. Maybe don't tell Dave but I always wrongly assumed he was your gay best friend/roommate.

You're welcome! Yes, we've actually got a ton of friends who are poly, who all do it different ways. I agree, I think it helps to see that people who are poly are just normal people, not some TV version of a stereotype.

You don’t need to explain your lifestyle for anyone, but I appreciate hearing it. It’s nice to hear about different relationships. I have a best friend who is happily poly. I understand chronic illness.... I became 100% disabled at age 30!! I've had 5 back surgeries , 2 double neck fusions, and I have a Dilaudid pump implanted under my skin that runs continuously. So it's very hard to help people out when you know you only have a limited supply of energy or pain control.

I am glad the discussion is opening up more and more regarding polyamory/non-traditional relationships. I grew up in a very rigid Christian household and I believe it created a lot of baggage for me regarding what relationships should look like; issues with jealousy/possessiveness and sex/attraction in general. I have been challenging my belief structure a lot over the past 5 months. I don't know where I will land ultimately, but it has been illuminating and has helped my husband and I communicate much more effectively.

Thanks for the personal update. I have so many questions about dealing with possible jealousy on every end and such. I know I'd be cool in your situation as I'd feel some security but am not sure how I'd feel if my hub went elsewhere but couldn't tell him not to if I did. We've discussed the possible pros and cons of being open but are afraid of crossing a line and discovering that we'd like to uncross it but can't. So, I'm keeping quiet on the poly subject. UGH sorry to hear about the moving and computer woes, especially the latter given how much it will impact your next few weeks. Being without your own machine is a nightmare when you're a creative person, let alone when you need to release regular content! In the meantime, here's a kindle book recommendation! The Psy-Changeling series by Nalini Singh is rather good paranormal romance. It touches on some rough topics, and unfortunately it's a bit heavy on the caveman possessiveness and hetero/monogamy centric, but unlike SOME books (coughanitablakecough) it doesn't devolve into constant, poorly written boning at the expense of a metaplot. The world is interesting and it changes as the series continues. Very much an easy read, not dense but not too fluffy either.

Honestly you shouldn’t have to explain your relationships to anyone that’s your personal business and as long as your all happy that’s all that matters and that’s your personal life like I said no one needs to know and put their noses into it and keep their opinions to themselves regardless if someone agrees with it or not it’s not their business

Thundershirts worked to varying degrees for Phaedra. You can try wrapping them in a blanket (think like swaddling a baby). I will put on trance music (something with heavy thumping base) to drown out the thunder. Another friend tells her dogs 'no' so that they know it's not acceptable behavior.

The house is terrific. I hope everyone has a lot of happiness and good health and enjoy the home. I have Fibromyalgia and chronic intractable migraines. As a bonus, I found out yesterday that I have Epstein Barr too. According to the bloodwork, I've had it for a while and it's not latent now. I'm wiped out and the thought of moving house is too much. It's hard not being able to will yourself to push through and that means physical things get pushed off onto other people. You feel guilty. Anyway, I hope Dave has more good days than bad days and that everyone - the pups included - make a ton of great memories in your home. 😊 Sorry - forgot the training thing. I'm waiting to hire a Barkbusters trainer who doesn't lay a hand on the dog and also does positive reinforcement. I'm saving up. I've gotten as far as I can with my dog who was abused by the former owner but, some stuff is beyond my knowledge base. Please could you update on how the training goes with your two?
