I started a WFPB diet in April. Over the course of 100 days I lost 23 lbs (240 to 217), and couldn’t wait to get my blood lipids checked. I have high cholesterol, and I’ve taken statins daily for decades. Got my results back, and my cholesterol and triglycerides went UP slightly. What the heck?
@WestVirginiaDee3 жыл бұрын
I was told by a pharmacist that cholesterol goes by the past 3 months....Detoxing put stored things back into your system & you just need to keep eating healthy nutritional foods & drink plenty of spring water, herbal teas for minerals & antioxidants. I also drink distilled water & use activated charcoal to remove heavy metals & toxins from my system. It's made a tremendous difference in my stress levels, memory function, physical and mental health. Good Luck on your Health Journey & stay Blessed. 💘 #NoMore22s #Blessed #FastingHeals #OMAD #PlantBased

Weight gain, please. I have been about 169 lbs. at 6 feet tall ever since i have been whole food plant based even through the covid over restrictions. Plus energy wise i ran 3 miles with my dog 3 days ago. i still had energy after that run. i haven't run like that in over a decade. I have unicycled and juggled quite a lot lately. That helps with the weight I think. I work mid shift as well if you can't tell.

I started WFPB diet 12 days ago…and unfortunately I feel like absolute crap; didn’t occur to me that my body would need to detox from eating meat/animal products, I’m guessing that’s what’s going on. My head and entire upper body feels very weighted (heavy) like I’m walking around with a weighted blanket on plus I have very low energy. This has been occurring for the past 3 days. Has anyone else experienced anything similar after going WFPB? I drink water throughout the day so I don’t believe I’m dehydrated. Any insight would be helpful and graciously appreciated. Thanks.

If this is a big change for you, your body needs time to adjust. For instance: you're probably eating less sugar than you were, because you're cutting out processed foods. That on it's own is enough to trigger withdrawal symptoms. You're probably eating more fiber. Your gut will have to adjust to that. So, no, I haven't experienced this, but it's not unexpected. While in the long term you do have to be sure to supplement b12 and D3, I would not at this point expect any deficiency. Your body will have stored a lot of B12 when you were eating meat daily.
@AngelaJones24333 жыл бұрын

Yes, I went through a terrible detox the first month. It was like a terrible flu. Keep eating wfpb and push through it! It’s worth it and I’ve never looked back. Epsom salt baths and drinking a lot of water can help. Your body will soon love you back..

@@smudge8882 Hi and thank you so much for responding! I'm probably NOT eating enough although it looks like a lot...because I'm usually still hungry. I will need to work on this for sure. I've been taking vitamin B12 supplement for the past 2 months or so but in tablet form (liquid may be better, will need to try that instead). Additionally, I've also been supplementing with vitamin D and calcium for the past few months so I should be good there...but you're right, I'm pretty sure I'm lacking in something vital so thank you so much for the website! :o)

@Magnulus762 жыл бұрын
I gained only 5 lbs. I think the fact I ate alot of meat free meals with texturized vegetable protein helped a great deal (I bought it because it's great "prepper" food), as well as the fact I would go out and try to walk a mile every day. I ate alot of Maru-Chan ramen packets with TVP, and often times I'd make my own low-sodium broth with kelp and miso. I wasn't even a vegan at the time, or on a strict plant-based diet, either.

I can gain that much in a day 😜 But I'm happy to say that following WFPB eating my weight is coming down. I have 'difficult' days, like yesterday, when I do eat way too much, but then I give myself a talking too and try harder the next day. I've a long journey ahead but with videos like this for motivation, I hope I will crack this weight loss once and for all. I can't keep non-compliant food completely out of my home as I'm the only one in my family doing this.

Some people do not recognize they are obese. I remember a customer at a supermarket getting very upset at other customers because she could not fit through an aisle even though there was enough space for one person to pass...but the trouble was that she was terribly obese.
