Algabraically add the x's and y's or place original vectors head to tail to find the coordinates of the new vector, use Pythagoras to determine it's magnitude. This works in any order because , is it the commutative property of addition? Have you or will you do anything on tensors, quarternions or fields? It's always a pleasure watching your videos for a little mental stimulation/exercise.

Actually I derived a solution but don't know if it is right or not. my solution in xy plane is, ((B-Cy)(P-B+Cy))^(1/2) - P.arcsin{((B-Cy)/P)^(1/2))}=Cx+V where P,C,B and V are constant s. I heard that the solution is a cycloid, does my solution represent a cycloid? Please answer if you can sir! Thank you!
