At first, I thought this would be hard because it had some geometric sequences, but it's actually very easy. Thank you professor.

Hello, How is it that when the Volume of an Element's Nucleus is divided by the Volume of a singular Proton that it provides the amount of Nucleons in that Element. Hopefully my question makes sense. Thanks

How radius of proton Neutron and electron was calculated
@MichelvanBiezen

The radius of the proton was determined by scattering electons. A more accurate result was determine by replacing the electron by muons. The size of the electron is more of a theoretical calculation.

i dont get that on the calculator when i calculate the volume. i get something like 9.98306E-43

Sandro. I checked the calculations and I got the same values as I got on the video. Check again. If you still get what you got, let me know which numbers you used in the calculation. Sometimes it is a matter of pushing the correct buttons on the calculator.

This is assuming that 238 is the absolute value of the atomic weight... The numbers are slightly off.

I used this video to solve a equation that I had. The question said: The nucleus of a gold atom has a radius of 6.2 x 10( to the power of -15) I need to find the volume of it and when I typed this in the calculator I got a wired looking answer

Sandro, Now I understand. The radius of a nucleus is an approximate value. The equation I used is a general equation and will not give you an exact value for the radius. When you do a homework problem, use the radius given to you in the problem. Then use the volume of a sphere formula (V = (4/3)*pi*r^3) to find the volume.
