The last song of their 90 minute epic show. And yes they had THAT much energy the entire show. They are truly something special. 🤘🦊🤘

The usual indicator that it’s the end of the show is when they say “See You” so if you don’t hear that, it means the show hasn’t ended.

Th Guitar arrangements were in fact written by Herman Li and Sam Totman of Dragonforce. If you liek the musicians you may want to check out BABYMETAL | Rondo of Nightmare (w/ Mischiefs of Metal Gods Intro) if you havent yet. Each memeber of the Kami Band get a short solo before the song begins.

That’s why they sounded so similar! Thanks for telling me this lol I had a feeling that’s why I brought it up.

Noooice! “They do this for the whole 9 minutes?!” No - they do this for the whole 90 minutes, they go hard the entire concert lol. And this was just the epic closer, as you rightly stated. Herman Li and Sam Totman of Dragonforce co-wrote the guitars, played the guitars for the studio version, and also joined Babymetal on stage during Download UK festivals (2015 & 2016). Next suggestion: iine! (Official MV). It will be a blast 🤣 🤘🦊

Great reaction. You will find a load more of their songs become favourites.😉 This video was from January 2015 at the Saitama Super Arena. Su was 17, Yui and Moa only 15 and that was over 20,000 people completely under their control. Even at that age Su just looks at the crowd, spreads her arms and the crowd opens up for a wall of death (ie they separate and as the music starts they charge at each other from either side) and that evolved into the circle pit. This was also the end of a 90 minute concert - they had been keeping that same energy up without any drop in quality for the whole time. It is what they do - they appreciate people have often paid a lot of money and travelled a long way to see them, they never give anything less than 100% for every song at every concert, whether that is one of their big arena concerts in Japan or at the many various sized venues as they tour the world. About the song itself - 'Road of Resistance' is a very positive song, it isn't the usual "resist the machine or the system etc" that we might expect from the title. It is about forging your own road even where a road doesn't already exist, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way. It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy route to follow. As you have been told already, the similarity to DragonForce was no coincidence. Herman Li and Sam Totman did the guitar arrangements for this song (it is the only one they were involved in) and recorded the guitars for the album version. They have said they made this more technical and faster than most of their own songs thinking they would never have to play it live ... and that they had to practice hard when they did perform it with BABYMETAL at an awards show in London later in 2015. This was the Kami Band playing live of course, each one of them is a world class musician. In this concert the Kami Band were Leda Cygnus and Takayoshi Ohmura on guitars (Takayoshi has the glitter pink guitar) with BOH on his 6 string bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums.

If you want to see how the fans are really part of the show, watch the special version of their song Headbanger, called "Moabanger". It is called so, cause it was the 20th birthday of Moa. That was a really wild performance.

Babymetal has not one bad song. The deeper you go the better it gets. They all shine in their own right. The musicians are just perfect. Being a anime fan you really need to hear MAXIMUM THE HORMONE - yoshu fukushu/ alien/ lets talk about/ hungry pride/ zetsubou billy. They wrote a fair bit of anime music AND partially inspired bands like babymetal/ nemophila/ lovebites/ hanabie etc. The OGs of japanese metal. Truly amazing

I always love when reactors react to Road Of Resistance.... there's always that "Is that little girl really calling for a wall of death" in the beginning.... And then you see the "oh shit" look when they realize that a 5'2" Asian girl called for, and got a big ass wall of death/mosh pit, is hilarious. Love the sing a long part with the fans... I think they added that part in just to give the drummer a break before his legs fall off. 🤣🤣🤣🤘🦊🤘

Nice reaction. One of their best songs and one of their best performances of the song. Extended ending even more than what you saw there. At the end they went from side to side of the stage to the audience shouting We are Babymetal. And then back to the middle ending the song with the Kamiband going crazy the whole time. One of the best show endings I've ever seen. Dragon Force wrote the guitar parts to the song. The two groups have a lot of history. Dragon Force snuck them into a music festival that the promoter said Babymetal would never play at. They performed this song and blew the tent wall out. Brought in such a large crowd that the following year Babymetal was invited to play there. And have done so a few times. Babymetal know how to do an Epic Boss Level show. This performance won over many metalheads over the years. Enjoy the rest of your journey through the foxhole and into the Babymetal galaxy of music

Great reaction, thanks! I almost miss it but here I am. 😁 This is also one of my favorite live performances. Su-metal said years later that she still remembers that moment on the bridge with all the crowd chanting along without any music and that it was one of her favorite moments on stage. At that point she had recently turned 17 but she was already a seasoned singer and frontwoman. Notice the way she puts the crowd's chants on tempo right before the drums get in. Not to mention she was on fire specially during the second half of the song and that's very noticeable on her... specially because she even verbalized it by shouting "Kakatte koiya!" (Bring it on!). Until next time! 🤘🦊

to think this was the last song and Su was only 17 at this time and the other two were 15. how many 17 year olds do you know that can master a crowd like her? no one. FYI their shows are just so much energy from the girls and the crowd. crowd participation is always a part of their shows. they want the crowd to be part of the show. Babymetal circle pits are usually soft but maybe at some venues might be more.

I totally agree with you! Although most reacters will have no clue, I think that they should try to go for versions prior to 2018 when looking into any songs from BABYMETAL's first two albums. Although I've run into a few who seem to diss Yui, I think she deserves her due. After all, she was a founding member of the group and I don't think BABYMETAL would have gotten to where they are now without her contribution. 💖🍅🍅🤘🦊🤘

It has come to my attention that your KZbin experience with BABYMETAL is limited. This was an excellent choice for your third (fourth?) outing!!! By the way, that was the "Su-metal Death Stare" that you noticed at the beginning. 😳 Anyway . . . . BABYMETAL has been around for a bit over twelve years now (they started when their lead singer - known as Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) - was about twelve, and the two "cheerleaders" (or the “Greek chorus” as I like to call them - officially "scream and dance" (backing vocals)) - Moametal (Moa Kikuchi) and Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno) - were both around eleven. Unfortunately, Yui left the band in 2018, and only earlier this year Momometal (Momoko Okazaki) was named a member of the group. They do not play instruments but are backed by the Kami Band - session musicians who are among the best that Japan (and the U.S.) has to offer. BABYMETAL started a brand new genre of music ("kawaii metal" - cute metal), and they cannot be pigeon-holed - they are almost always thinking and moving outside box; they made listening to metal FUN! They have, to date, four studio albums, and have been on a number of world tours. It is common knowledge among their devoted fans (known as "The One") that BABYMETAL is best served live, but they do have several music videos that are real works of art. If you have a notion to check out more BABYMETAL, I suggest you go back to the beginning, and react to their first two music videos, "Doki Doki Morning" and "Iine!" (pronounced "E-nay"), both released in 2012. In fact, here's a list of BABYMETAL songs I think you would find most entertaining (and many will become your "most favorite" song by them): Doki Doki Morning (official music video) Iine! (official MV) Gimme Chocolate!! (official MV or Legend 1997 Apocalypse version) Megitsune (official MV) BABYMETAL Death (Legend 1997 Apocalypse version) Onedari Daisakusen (Legend 1997 Apocalypse version) Song 4 No Uta (Budokan Black Night 2014 version) Uki Uki * Midnight (Budokan Black Night 2014 version) Catch Me If You Can (Budokan Black Night 2014 version) Ijime, Dame, Zettai (Live at Sonisphere 2014 version) Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! (Legend 1997 Apocalypse version) Karate (official MV) Meta Taro (Five Fox Festival version) GJ! (Fox Festival 2017 version) Sis Anger (Fox Festival 2017 version) Shanti Shanti Shanti (official MV) Pa Pa Ya!! (official MV) BxMxC (official MV) Metalizm (official MV) Metali!! (official MV) I would include the links but, for some reason, KZbin sometimes thinks I'm posting spam and will delete my comment. For the links, see the KZbin playlist “BABYMETAL Top Twenty”; it is a mix of MV’s and live performances, is more or less in historical sequence, and could be considered a road map down the BABYMETAL foxhole. If nothing else, it can be used as a reference to find high quality versions of BABYMETAL songs without mucking about - if they are on the list. Enjoy your trip down the foxhole; you're in for a wild ride!!! We are . . . BABYMETAL!!! KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘 See you!!!
