Thanks for the detailed teaching here. I have a much more clear concept now! As a beginner, you have taught me a lot Warren. I always don't understand why O here a raised now in the minor scale. Now I know it is the harmonic one. I have learnt the minor chord progression now. Before then, I just know the major one. Thanks so much!!

This is what helps me to keep these straight. Almost always: (Upper Case = Major Chord, and Lower Case = Minor Chord.) I and IV (Major Key) or i and iv (Minor Key) match in quality. iii and vi (Major Key) or III and VI (Minor Key) are the opposite quality of the tonic. V is always Major/Dominant 7. Diminished chords have 3 options: dim triad/half dim 7th/or fully dim 7th. These can be freely chosen by the player/composer for any place that a dim. chord could go. (Usually vii° (on Ti in major or minor key) or ii° (in a minor key)). I'm a "Classical" theory teacher and I'm REALLY learning a lot from seeing how you process all of this information differently. I've been trying to figure out how popular musicians use theory topics for ages. These lessons are perfect. Thanks very much!

Sir, We are so blessed and this generation as a whole is blessed to have you as their teacher. You are not just different in the way you break things down to our understanding, but also to the fact that, what others will charge for $30, $50 etc, you literally give us for free. When I heard the help you were offering to third world countries, I became speechless. I don't know if that option is still exist, nonetheless, what you are doing for us is so amazing. Even if one buys any of your products, the money is only some sort of motivation, yeah....we can't really pay you. Please extend my greetings to your wife and especially to our baby boy... chao..!!!

Outstanding lesson. Thanks a lot! For me the last progression has to be considered in C major ending in A minor simply because the harmony gravitates (in an aural and emotional way) toward C major, and A minor in the end. Really strong and immediate feeling for that.

Thanks man very helpful and helped me to solve some confusion about minors. If I understood correctly then if you transpose from major to minor you completely change the vibe of the progression right? to the point some degrees combos wouldn't sound good at all in minor. That got me confused, after trying to transpose to natural minor, which I did correctly but its felt off, especially when 2 diminished was part of it Happy to find your channel - Subbed! Keep it up :)
