If you've spent any time at our shop prior to a few years ago, chances are you've met our previous repair tech Eric Daw… and you've probably seen some of his guitars on our walls under the name Pin-Up or Eric Daw Custom Guitars. He's always done top notch work on guitars that need some love, and his personal builds are no different! Today that is just what we have, an early Pin-Up Telecaster style guitar, #21, by the name of "Margaret". Each Pin-Up is named after an important or influential woman in Eric's life, and each one is deserving of taking on its name. This guitar is wrapped in a really cool 'tooled leather' finish, has a pair of great hand-wound pickups, and the feel of a vintage Fender in a modern-build! We'll let James dive into the specific details of the guitar, before we hand it off to Aaron Hiebert to run through an excellent Mesa Boogie Lonestar head and a pair of cabs, also all wrapped up in a custom 'tooled leather' tolex - this amp was a custom order so each component from the grill cloth and wood panels, to the leather corner-protection and beautiful tolex, were all picked out by the original owner and they look fantastic together. This amp is incredibly flexible in tone, power output, and maneuverability with a dual 2x12 setup with each piece being a manageable weight! A killer combo between the guitar and amp, that sounds and looks absolutely perfect together!
