PRS are considered modern? They're from the 80's... I mean, the design is still awesome but... Frankly I think this guitar is over the top. Lots of these private stock guitars are just chockful of gratuitous ornamentation - flamed necks with burst job, rainbow-coloured fretboards, uber flame on the top that gets enhanced with a coat of dark hand-rubbed dye... All for the low low price of 4 or 5 American pro-grade instruments.

Because it's very likely he had at least 25 or 30 guitars in that last vid. And I'd put money on the fact that he doesn't have anywhere close to 90 guitars at this point. My lovely hubby enjoys waking me up w/coffee & music clips (he works nights, home between 5-9am), and whilst he doesn't play guitar, he adores great pieces. He also recognises the significant impact learning/playing has made on my life, when 11 yrs old, Xmas gifted my 1st "dime store" starter, folk guitar. When I was 12 yrs old, went away to live at school, music, my penny guitar being my only solace. But, I also had my 1st ever lesson, taught my 1st 3 chords & 1st ever song..."Tom Dooley". The next day, I self taught myself "Country Roads" By John Denver, never took another class, and continued to self teach, learned his "greatest hits" playbook to please/surprise my mum on my next visit home...Annie's song her fave. A cheap 2nd hand no brand guitar allowed me to continue playing, often mostly by ear, although when 8yrs old, I could read sheet music from choir, music class. Fast forward, I moved to live in another school, and a lovely staff gal sold me her old, but my 1st cherished 12 string, similar to famous Hummingbird. Ive had Yamaha, Gibson, other 6 strings, but my heart was forever taken when a dear friend (sadly passed) bought me a Martin 12 string. I was never the same, the joy that it brought me, overcoming severe abuse, catastrophic PTSD, through so many years of pain, heartbreak, it was my only soul comfort. It was stolen in 1996. As life would take me through many more traumatic years, event and circumstances, I finally met, married a lovely british lad, moved to the UK. Knowing my pain, still grieving the loss of my Martin 12, he attempted to surprise me with a lovely, beautiful Seagull 12 string. And whilst I cherish it, the gesture, I even bought Martin silk and steel strings for it, tried desperately to "Feel it, to mold myself to it, even last week I had it out, as it has remained in its case for 13 years now, (moved to UK spring of 2008, gifted guitar that summer), But I just cannot warm to it, it's difficult to hold, touch or hear, it just doesn't feel " Right", you know what I mean? I've not held/played a guitar that has ever felt the same, it's a combination of things that made it feel and fit me, my hands, etc. I cherished being able to play a friend's Martin before I moved to the UK, and cherish that memory always:) So, whilst disability, PTSD, etc still haunt me, along with loss, grief and rage at a theft never caught/punished, every once in a while the hubby finds, very randomly, a particularly special and touching music video to wake/surprise me with, and this morning, YOURS was one of them:) It was one of the most touching and heart warming clips to watch, to see that utter perfect joy of having a dream guitar in your arms...THATS such an exquisite extraordinary moment, and as such, I've saved it AND subscribed to your channel. THANK YOU for sharing and bringing a flash of joy into others lives, and hopefully knowing my own story will allow you to cradle, cherish and appreciate your glorious dream guitar just a bit more:) warmest of karma hugs, best regards, LadyBudd:) XXX

As a Marylander, seeing you shoot a video while driving over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in a downpour gave me heart palpitations. That bridge is terrifying in the best of conditions. Also, it feels like it's a million miles long.

It's not that bad lol. I mean, it is widely considered the scariest bridge in the country but I don't mind it. The Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel is what freaks me out. Two lanes, two way traffic in an underwater tunnel.

@@JC-11111 - I’ve been playing guitar for about 25 years. I don’t see the point of collect guitars just to say you have them. I’ve sold a few guitars that I wasn’t using.
@brutus63283 жыл бұрын
@@Burnt_Gerbil If you want to see REAL complete nonsense....go over to The Tone King. He buys a guitar a week, plays it on 2-3 videos, then it goes in it's case likely never to be played again. Makes ZERO sense unless you're collecting vintage instruments for investment purposes. Dude claims he has more guitars than Joe Bonamassa! Such a waste of beautiful instruments. And....he buys them just to say he has them because anytime someone in the chat says they bought something new he says...."Yeah, I have the matching set" or "I actually have 4 of those". I used to watch him many years ago, now the channel is nothing more than him regurgitating the same 5-7 licks and saying "Look at what I bought"
@Burnt_Gerbil3 жыл бұрын
@@brutus6328 - Yeah, that’s pretty nuts. I don’t understand it. Not to mention his wall of amps and only playing a few. It’s like clothing, if you’re not using it let someone else have it. This may seem crazy to most guitar players but I only have one amplifier (Orange OR15) and one Orange 4x12 cabinet. Most people have several. Crazy right!? I could buy more but I don’t see the point. How much stuff do you really need. Seriously.
@Stashmanfpv3 жыл бұрын
@@brutus6328 and sadly, "Tone King" has no tone and isn't really an individual who's known for being a decent guitarist. He's more of a "look what I got" type of individual and sadly, I don't learn anything from his videos... Ugh. Long story short, Tone King is not inspiring to me, too say the least. :-( Best! ✌🏼
