When I was in school, girls wanted that Thug. They wanted the, "Girl, he so fine..." or "girl, he plays football, or basketball..." I was the quiet, dorky type. Until the thug went to jail, the sports guy didn't make it in college or lost his scholarship doing drugs. The fine dude had 5 kids by 5 different women! 10 to 15 years later, suddenly the dorky, shy guy who wasn't invited to the parties and didn't have the big name friends, and the girls wouldn't give the time of day, didn't drink and smoke, suddenly was a college graduate making good money with a home and a family. Married for going on 20 years. I've had several of those ladies see me and lament that they wish they had chosen different. Suddenly I was a very attractive man. I say to the dorky, quiet guys, don't change who you are!! I'm 53 and loving life.

Most were raised by Single Mothers who selected poorly and are bitter and pass that vitriol down to their daughters which also includes encourage their daughters to be independent and not need a man. Most of these women also grew up in households without their father nor a positive father figure which means they wouldn’t know what a “good man” looked like if 10 of them were placed in front of them. Just treat them like one of the boys.
