This month's drum cover is PICK UP THE PIECES by The Average White Band (AWB) off their 1974 self-titled debut album. 😱
AWB is a Scottish funk and R&B band that was formed in 1972. PICK UP THE PIECES is an instrumental hit that reached #1 on the US BILLBOARD HOT 100 & remains their signature track. Their name comes from singer Bonnie Bramlett who was quoted as saying their sound was "too much for the average white man." (Whaddya gonna do? It was the '70s. Drugs were involved! 🤷‍♂️)

Hey Dez! Thanks for reaching out and subscribing, not to mention the compliments! Yeah, I think I went a little overboard with the kit but, whaddya gonna do? I retired from my day job! 🤷‍♂️ You're getting some nice sounds out of that e-kit. What kind is it? I started out this channel with an Alesia strike pro SE and then eventually bought the acoustic but I still use the Alesis to practice I also subscribed to your channel and I'm gonna leave a couple comments on your videos now.
