Sorry I made a mistake in my script that I didn't spot. Binds can be used every 120 seconds. But most classes have 3 minute Cooldowns hence the 3 minute burst meta

the cooldown is 100 seconds after your bind ends. this means it's functionally 110 seconds + lag, so most people say its 120.

Would like to add to the bow master, decent burst but exceptional sustain. Magic arrow: Blood heals us for so much and if youre on hurricane, it negates big damage from bosses aside from OHKO. Whats also nice about bow master is that our "burst window" is 1 minute but we also have a smaller burst around every 7 shots of arrow stream or ( i believe) 70 hits of hurricane. The smaller burst is not negligible and it helps in mobbing. Really simple sustain dps style class, beautiful animations from what they were and would highly recommend any new player to pick the class up. Also great series coppersan, very well made, to the point and the showcase is extremely helpful! Cheers man!

When talking about marksmans burst you mentioned bosses can only be bound every 3 minutes, actually bosses can be bound every 90 seconds (see demon slayers binding darkness). it's just that most rely on a 3 minute bind cooldown or that's just how their burst cycles line up.

Wind Archer main here, you should put more emphasis on gale barrier and wind walk for bossing. It singlehandedly is how I am able to solo Damien and hellux. Being able to completely block like 3 attacks per cast of gale barrier, and then upjumping and spamming wind walk from left to right to stay airborne forever lets you ignore SO many boss mechanics

would love some tips from you on how you got IED for bossing. Im a lvl 230 wind archer but cant solo any bosses yet bc im struggling on getting more IED

@@spisie130 Hoyoung link skill, Explorer magicians link skill, luminous link skill, Completely fill out IED section in legion grid, IED hyper stat to level 10 or higher, some hyper skill passives give extra IED on attack, then you can get IED on secondaries/weapon. I only use around 90% IED to do 4 door CRA, hellux, and damien

I just got back to Maplestory and was wondering which one to try out next, for a Bossing Archer. I love the Archer Gameplay ever since I started Wind Breaker before. I am looking to try another, so I tried Pathfinder but sadly, it isn't a Bossing Class type. I do want to try Kain but Coppersan didn't seem to mention the Bossing Potential for this class. Any tips? I don't want to use Marksman though...

pf main here.. totally recommend pf if u want a decent but not weak class (excellent mobbing, above avg bossing), easy to play class (not overwhelming with tons of skills to use and having to manage tons of buffs).. the cooldown reduction for some of their 4th and 5th job skills is a huge qol change.. though the lack of their own bind is the 'disadvantage' of pfs but at least we have erda bind

The juice isn't worth the squeeze, but overall I agree with you. The class has absolutely insane mobility when played well and isn't actually particularly weak. The sheer amount of hate it gets is confusing.

Great video as always san, although imo most parties these days will consist usually some 4 minute burst class: Ark/Adele(if using grandis in burst, Hero Usually during burst cycles with 4 min classes you small burst every 2 minutes with a bind so that just means as a marksman you’ll be full bursting instead of small burst of the Hero for example. For a bossing mule or solo bossing Marksman is amazing now especially with the new erda nova and the changes he got with door and covering fire and being able to burst every 2 minutes is a huge plus from my experience with the class.. Would highly recommend Marksman very underrated imo

Wind archer main here too, you should put more emphasis on having to use a cape to mob past 240, having garbage damage, and howling gale bug. Guy that solod black mage had absolutely insane funding and that super misleading for people that see that and pick WA not knowing they are gonna have to spend billions more than everyone else and not even be able to use sentient arrow to get it after the mobbing nerf. a 15k DS will do literally 2-3x the damage lines of a 20k WA with similar funding and its been like that since 2016. But the good news is to make up for it we get purple taken out of our kit, are FORCED to use a cape to grind with the removal of 2 abilities, and maybe 5-10% more dpm with a second tornado active...assuming its not still bugged by then. Heres to 6 more years in the bottom 5 dps.

@@nirdelanoche In my opinion, on reboot Marksman is easier and better to train, whereas Bowmaster is a bit better on regular servers since their Arrow Blaster needs to be 1-2 shotting mobs to feel good. If you’re burning to main, pick whichever you think you’d enjoy more. If you’re burning to get a character out of the way, Bowmaster is more annoying to train unfunded whereas Marksman has a better legion piece.

Of all the archers, Mercedes probably has the highest skill ceiling. Combo-ing is typically your best bet for maximum damage, and the less active way has too little damage for people just trying to create a link mule, so I get the dislike for this class. also the height requirement for our main mobbing skill is rather frustrating. The Destiny update has made our damage more worth for the work needed to be put in, and our survivability has increased-our mobility too but we weren't lacking in that to begin with, though being able to upjump instead of chaining together like 8 skills is great. Mercedes is meant to have a very active play-style to get the most out of this class. Tight, consistent timing isn't as necessary as Blaster. We're probably closer to Cadena in having to animation cancel after almost every skill and we have a few movement skills that displace us but not nearly as many-our skills mainly make us go up, but we have a dash whose length is dependent on the timing of your animation cancel, provided you have enough attack speed. I have fun with it 😃

is short for 'invincibility frame' so it's a period of time where your character is invincible/cannot take damage, even from %HP attacks

the way you disrespect bowmasters fam lol, 2 minute burst classes are op, combined with max erda nova 5th job bind, you dont really need any other kind of bind since its CD at lvl 25 is 120 secs. Also depending on the map youre training in at higher levels with bowmasters, you really dont need to use arrow stream, just pop turret on 1 side and use another turret going the other way
