Fab video but what if your baby isn't being breast fed anymore, does it matter what pacifiers you use as you mentioned the health of their gums? Happy to go out and buy the right ones for my two month old twins. Xx

Philips Avant Soothies were a gift from my Nurse Practicioner Neighbor, and my 3 month daughter's fave pacifiers 😊🎉 I just don't like how they sweeze up next to her nose and I like the mam ones with the nose cut out and carrying box I use a nipple shield or denture case for the bigger pacifier sometimes

I actually didn't want to give my daughter any pacifiers at first, but I ended up buying a whole bunch of them to try when she was going through her fussy phase at one-month-old. She nixed every single one of the pacifiers and wanted nothing at all to do with them. Not gonna lie, I was somewhat relieved although that phase was rough.. She's now 3 months old and the fussy phase is over, but now we're moving onto the teething phase instead...🙄 If you haven't already, could you make a video on teething (and especially; how to help them feel better)? I'm at a complete loss.. I wasn't expecting that I'd have to deal with teeth this fast. I need a "pause"-button because she's rushing through these milestones and growth spurts like a little Olympian.. It's going too damn fast!

For teething, a washcloth with cold water and a rubber band to hold the 4 corners together was my go to for my 1st

Could you please explain why a gradual slope and wide base give a better latch? When trying the pacifiers myself I feel that they sit better in my mouth when they have a bulbous tip, narrow neck and no base (I.e. the opposite of what you recommend). Granted, I have teeth and a grownup sized mouth, but is it really that much different from a baby’s?

Have you heard of the pacii pacifiers? I would love to hear your opinion on those!

I am still incredibly grateful that my son wanted nothing to do with pacifiers and bottles he went from boob to food with little hassle. I feel for the moms that have to go through paci weaning.

Pacifier weaning for my son had been easy- once he got teeth and all the pacifiers got holes, we just never bought any more...

So… idk about everyone else’s nipples but personally, the tips of my nipples are definitely a lot more dense than the skin right behind them. When they’re compressed by a mouth, they are indeed more round/bulbus at the tip, then very narrow, and then baby’s lips flare against the breast. This description is nothing like a “gradual slope to a wide base”… so…? Are most people’s nipples gradually more dense and not a different shape when they’re compressed as opposed to looking at a nipple that’s not in a mouth…? Of course people should follow their babies anyway but this description doesn’t actually seem to mimic a human nipple 🧐
