He did have a soft opening there. He was also selling a Sea Hunt Ultra. I inquired about a used trailer. Yes you are correct the used boat market is very soft. So is the new boat market, dealers have too much inventory. Manufacturers rebates and dealers are having major discount to move inventory. I just upgraded to a Sea Hunt Gamefish 27 and got a great deal. Happy Holidays

The Mako is a sweet boat , that mercury has the oil tank on the engine. Those 2stroke mercurys are bulletproof .

I had a 17ft. Mako with a 90hp Johnson in '92, it was the older model and I snagged it for like $2k as the ugy selling already had his new boat and just wanted it gone asap. I was living in the lower keys so I needed the shallow draft, problem was it was definitely a splash boat, anything over 2 ft seas and you got soaked. Luckily you could generally find some protected waters in the back country or close to shore, which in the lower keys isn't really close to shore, it's still 125 miles out into the ocean on a rock. Great boat though, never let me down...
